So I know both have signs not to ride when pregnant and I'm wondering if anyone has before? More so the safari. I guess I'll steer clear of mine train just to be safe either way. I've only been on 7DMT 3 times (2x in the front), but didn't find it jerky at all. It was actually kind of disappointing because I thought it was rather tame. I'm assuming the no ride when pregnant is because of the lap bar should it stop short? For the safari... I've heard mixed things. I've probably been on this 50 times and never found it more bumpy than a car ride, especially since they took away the poachers thing. I'll be 5/6 months during our trip and thus far, other than tiredness, have felt really normal. What have been your experiences?

My wife was 6 months pregnant and rode the safari just fine. however, if you are afraid of something happening it's better to not ride it. Not worth the worry or stress.

The bar makes perfect sense to avoid those type of rides. I can't see Safari being an issue, but I am a guy so what do I know.

I rode Safari at 7 months pregnant with no issues. I did not ride 7DMT or any roller coasters at that point. You should also talk to your doctor, mine thought most Disney rides would likely be okay.

I rode the safari while 6 months pregnant in 2013 and will do it again 6 months pregnant in september. It's no bumpier than lots of roads near my house!

As for 7DMT, I'll avoid that one since it's a roller coaster with a lap bar :-) good luck!

I'd absolutely say no 7DMT.

DH is a dr and said he preferred me not to ride the safari when pregnant during our last trip - I was totally fine w that bc there's always next time, and I'd rather be safe than sorry.

BTW, I'd be incredibly upset if the roads were that bad where I live.

I was three months pregnant and chose not to go on the safari, years ago. I made my own decision to follow the ride guidelines. IMO, it's better to be safe than sorry. There were tons of other rides safe to ride on when pregnant, I sat on those.

I didnt ride Safari at 5 months pregnant because it was too bumpy for me... I've been in the back where it was really bumpy and in the front when it wasn't so bad but didn't want to take the chance.

7dmt didn't exist back when I was pregnant but since it has a lap bar, I wouldn't ride it if it had been around then.

If I had a normal, uneventful pregnancy, I'd ride the safari in the first or second tri. I'd avoid it in the later part of the third, only because at that point I couldn't go very long between bathroom trips, and all of the bumps on the safari would be hell on my bladder. WAAAY to uncomfortable for me. I wouldn't ride 7DMT at any point in pregnancy. While it is smooth, it could stop suddenly, and with the restraints it could be dangerous.

Is risking a pregnancy really worth it? Believe me, a "normal" pregnancy can change in a second.
If you're speaking to me, I had an intense relationship with infertility with numerous losses. OP asked for opinions, and I stated what I did/would do. I did not advise her to follow my example or opinion. I would assume that anyone that fearful of all of the "what if's" would likely skip WDW entirely at that point. Which would be completely fine. No one should do anything they are uncomfortable with.

I went at 5 months pregnant. I discussed with my OB/GYN and he felt comfortable with me riding the safari, but not the mine train. So I rode the safari, but I did ask for the front row to be extra cautious.

My response was to OP. I am very sorry to hear about your infertility struggle and losses. Unfortunately, I whole heartedly understand those situations.

With my pg, I did nothing but a little mall shopping. No way would I do crazy walking in the heat and get on any sort of ride at all.

The front row can still be very bumpy. Because my daughter has to stay in her wheelchair to ride and the wheelchair spot is in the front row, I've ridden there many times. I've also ridden in other towns when I wasn't with her.
As long as you are not in the back 1/4, I would say there is very little difference very front row compared yo anywhere else.

I know pregnant women who said the whole felt like their baby was using their bladder for a trampoline and some earlier in pregnancy who said all the bumping made them nausious.
My guess is the warning is for those things, but also the fact that you could get trapped out in the ride if there are animals in the roadway. We've been out for nearly an hour several times. Also, if there is a need for evacuation, I've heard it is a long way down from the vehicle.

I wonder if they recommend against it for safari because of the possibility that the animals can be unpredictable and I don't think there were seat belts if I remember correctly. My parents rode once where two of the rinos came charging right along the truck. My mom pulled my niece away from her window seat because she was afraid they were going to hit the truck. They didn't and were actually just playing with each other but it could have been a problem. If the driver had to stop fast it might cause a pregnant woman to be thrown against the seat in front. But the same would be true of children.
