If you are going soon, what are you going to wear to the parks?

What are you planning on wearing to the parks if you are going in the next few weeks? Shorts? Pants? Long sleeve shirt? Are you going to bring along a jacket for the evening? I was thinking about dressing everyone in shorts and short sleeves or maybe long sleeves rolled up. I hate to have to carry four jackets around all for potentially chilly nights though. I can't convince my DH to carry a backpack.

We are leaving on Saturday. I am packing shorts and tee shirts, with one or two pairs of long pants and a sweatshirt. With the lows for next week predicted to be in the 60's (and of course that will be at 3:00am, not when we will be out and about), I don't expect that we will need the long pants other than for our plane ride home. Here in PA, we've been having 40-50 degree weather, so even the 70s will feel pretty warm to us. I am definitely planning on using our bathing suits!

my packing list for 8 day trip:

2 pairs of long pants that are convertible to shorts (the rip-away kind). Love these. I can just carry the bottom halfs and they take no space at all.
1 sweatshirt (these we'll be wearing on the way down from OH)
4 t-shirts
1 bathing suit
5 pairs socks & undies
1 pair jammies - ugly tshirt & ugly shorts

Plan on doing laundry at least once

That's it. If I need any other clothing... well that's why they have outlet malls.:)

I'm not wondering what everyone is packing, what I'm wondering is what you are going to wear the days you go to the parks. Are you going to carry a jacket around all day? Will you wear shorts or pants? If the high is 78 and low of say 58, what will you wear?

I leave for WDW on Dec 5th. I'm bringing mostly long jeans.
I don't like wearing shorts, anyway. I figure that jeans will be perfect if it's chilly, or if it's warm. I don't really expect it to be 95 degrees ! ( However, you never know ) I'm bringing all cotton shirts that have collars. I want the collar because it is more comfortable if I have the camera string around my neck all day, and my sunglasses rope, too. I am bringing my heavy, hooded, zip-up, sweatshirt as my jacket. I think I might bring a couple of long sleeve denim or flannel shirts as an in-between jacket. This would be easy enough to tie around my waist if I take it to a park, and then don't need it later. I want to bring just one pair of my favorite sweat pants to lounge around in, in the room, and just in case it is really cold in the parks.

The girls and I will wear shorts and tee shirts. My younger daughter gets cold so I have a lightweight jacket that I can fold up and put at the bottom of my backpack. My older daughter and myself stay warm and rarely want a coat. In the evenings we will probably wear jeans and tee shirt. However, we are carrying sweatshirts just in case.

We'll wear t-shirts and shorts to the parks. We'll be returning to the hotel for a midafternoon break most days so we can pick up a sweatshirt then if necessary, but I don't plan on carrying around any extra clothing during the day. My goal is to carry as little as possible to the parks.

Here's the forecast for our trip...looks like we'll be wearing long-sleeves and long pants in the mornings the first few days. Maybe shorts and a light jacket over short-sleeved shirts the last few days. We'll either stow the extra clothes in a locker or take it back to the resort.

I'll probably dress my kids in shorts, short sleeve shirts with a light jacket. Will have my backpack and strollers to hang them on when it gets hot, and then we can also rent the lockers to put them in....

Remember, the high will probably only last 2-3 hours in the afternoon, so you really have to assume a few degrees below the predicted high to gague what to wear...

I live less than 20 mins from Disney and I am here to tell you it is still HOT here! We are close to a record today (it is 82 right now and not a cloud in the sky). I have not put on a pair of jeans let. DH and I went out to dinner the other evening and DH wore shorts and a t-shirt. It is supposed to cool down in the next couple of days, but they say that all the time. Bring more summer clothes than anything else. But, make sure you do have at least a jacket and a pair of jeans/pants, the weather can change quickly.

Have a great trip!

I'm so glad I have a friend that lives down there. I'll pack after I talk to her the week we're going. The winter weather down there isn't much different than it is here, so you really never know from week to week what it will be like.

we leave friday :teeth:

i'm wearing shorts and t-shirts during the day. i'll bring jeans for nighttime.

Hi! We were there Friday night (we are locals). I wore shorts and a T-shirt to watch Wishes and Illuminations, and we went mini-golfing afterwards. All in all, we were out and about until midnight. I was not cold at all. However, I wished I hadn't forgotten the darn mosquito spray AGAIN!

We will be wearing mostly shorts and t-shirts. I will make sure to bring a couple pair of pants and some sweatshirts. During the day, the sweatshirts will either tie around the waist or we'll get a locker.
