If you are going to disney next month, when you get back could you PLEASE post how the brizilan groups were. Have they gone down? Are they still just as annoying as before? The first 2 weeks is the most preferable but anytime in August will do! :thumbsup2

i thought they came on july. I was there last August and didnt notice them. Hope not to see them this trip either.

I also thought they came in July, I didn't see any last August - we are going on the 8th though so I will watch out for any and let you know.

I agree with the previous 2 posters. I'm going next month but the
previous 2 Augusts i didn't see any groups?

We'll be there from 8/3 - 8/8.

Its been 14 years since I've done a WDW trip and that is the thing that stuck in my memory most (on my list of what I didn't like) -- rude, pushy foreign groups that didn't follow the typical rules of courtesy.

I'll post to let you know our experience after this trip.

Lisa

July is the primary month they come up but there are still a few groups that come in August as well. From some of the reports this year, they seem to be acting better and aren't as annoying or obnoxious as in past years.

OH My Gosh, Years ago when my dd was much younger we where at Universal and we where getting on the Earthquake ride and a group of them where also getting on. This one lady kept pushing me as I was getting on the ride, she then took her elbow and hit me with it. I got up and smacke her one real good and told her off. I got my dd and exit the ride.

I was waiting for security to come and ask me to leave the park they never did! Just remember one thing, they are famous to ask where the toilets are, when they do, just tell them they are in the bathroom.. :teeth:

:upsidedow Uh, oh! I've been on these boards since May and never read about Brazilian groups/Foreign groups. :sad2: Do tell... :listen: Are they really THAT rude? :rolleyes2

My husband is the king of NOT making a scene especially in front of the kids or in public. Unfortunately, I am just the opposite. I don't go looking for trouble, but I don't run away from it either.

I can only imagine what I would do if someone was pushing me onto a ride.

Okay... I can tell you what I would do. My husband and I live just north of Nashville and are huge TN Titans fans (Yes, even when they have losing seasons. :) ) When the team first came here our stadium was still being built so we had to have our games at Vanderbilt University's stadium. It was a winter game and they have bleachers that were iced over. We couldn't see the numbers. So, we went to the general area and sat down. It was my first game and I didn't have a clue about the rules of football. There were two extremely drunk ladies (the term is used loosely) sitting behind us. They rambled on CONSTANTLY and made fun of me everytime I asked my hubby a question or cheered when I wasn't supposed to  About halftime the rightful owners of our iced over bleacher showed up. (We were two bleachers up from our assigned seats.) Well the couple next to the obnoxious ladies (again, term is used loosely) made a path so that we could sit behind them. One of the obnoxious ladies (... loosely...) elbowed me behind my knee and my leg buckled and I almost fell. They had the nerve to laugh. Before I knew what I was doing  I turned around and KICKED her as HARD as I could. She kept her mouth shut for the rest of the game.

FYI: This is not one of my most flattering moments, but growing up with a very strong single mother has taught me a lot about standing up for myself.

All I can is one thing about the brizlian tour groups - PRAY THEY ARENT THERE WHEN YOU ARE THERE. Its thats simple. They are rude, VERY annoying, they pretend they cant speak or understand english when they can. Ive had plenty of them come up to me ask me what time it is or how to get to wherever, like I work there or something speaking good english. The CMs even hate them. Its their worst nightmare coming true when they are there. They (their annoying acts) constantly clap their hands, singing and chanting. And if they are there when your there, RUN FAR AWAY FROM THEM. Or else they will get on your nerves so much you DO wanna hit them. They have ruined 2 vacations for me so far by doing their annoying acts and I dont wanna be around them anymore. They also tend to act like they own the parks. They cut in lines as well. If they can show some decency and respect and not be singing, chanting and clapping their hands I could care less if they are there or not. I mean when they are there its like the volume for the crowds go WAY up. While on a normal day, its seems loud but not that loud. Think of it as a stero. On a normal day the stero is set at 10, well when they are there the stero is set at 50 or who knows maybe even higher. Let me put it to you this way. One time during the 2 vacations they ruined well I was at the very front of the entrance of MGM and I could hear them all the way down by TOT. Im sorry but I should not be able to hear them from that far. And whatever you do, do not ride on the same bus as them. If you have to wait for the next one, WAIT. I did that one time - BIG MISTAKE! I left the park some what happy feeling OK, got back to the hotel feeling like I could kill someone or do some real bad damage to them and the worse migrane you could ever imagine having. I know they are there during July but I heard there are some in August to. None in September though and rest of the months.

We went earlier this month. While we noticed lots of Brazilian tour groups we didn't notice any obnoxious behavior. They seemed to behave just fine from what we saw.

We are leaving 2 weeks from today, and we'll be in the parks Aug. 4-11. We went to WDW in January and October last year and we did see Brazilian tour groups at MGM in January. We saw them first thing in the morning on Great Movie Ride where they took LOTS of flash photos, then we saw them at Fantasmic but they were WAAAAY on the other side of the stadium. I was prepared for the worst, but it was fine. There really weren't that many of them - maybe 2 groups of about 50 people.

We're staying at AKL, so hopefully we won't end up on a bus with them. I think they stay at All Stars. Hopefully the majority will have gone home by the time we arrive.

We'll be there Aug 13-18. I'll let you know. Although we usually go in July and they are usually there then. I really can't complain about them. We never were annoyed by them on a ride or even walking around. If it wasn't for their brightly colored tees, and a leader with a flag, you wouldn't even know they were a group. I guess we've been lucky.

Thanks for the heads up. :) This is truly unbelievable - how annoying! :sad2: We will be there August 21st - 28th. Hopefully, they are already vacationed out by the time we arrive. If we get to a park and they are there in full fashion - we will hop to another park. :moped:

I don't understand? Are brizlian's the only ones who tour in groups? I was there for POP Warner week and it didn't bother me at all. Saw maybe 4 of them all week.

They were there in July last year. It was terrible. I watched a large group of them eat at DTD McDonalds & then get up & leave, leaving all of there trash & trays on the table. Then the entire group walked out of McDonalds & stood in front of the doors so that no one else could go in or out. The line jumped, pushed, talked loudly during shows. I'm really hoping we won't see them this year.

Thats ALL I need, is them or a Hurricane. :sad2: Pray I have neither. ;)

I am with you on that one! However oddly enough I would rather loose a day at the parks and spend it at the AKL because of a hurricane then have to deal with them.

Well its seems the brazillians are becoming better behaved lately. I have heard horror stories in the past but most recent stories have been good, so maybe WDW had a conversation with the tour leaders and they have set some rules? I wouldnt worry about it just go and enjoy your vacation..
