Ew. I hope we don't see them when we go in a couple of weeks.

We have gone middle of may (16/17 ish) quite a few years and never really noticed them too bad.

Thankfully the season passes fast. I am sure by this weekend outside my house will be flooded with them but a week ish after that they will be gone.

Interesting to know!! We have never been during this season, but I'm glad I seen this so we can be prepared. Are they heavy in the parks too?

The resort is weirdly absent of bugs, considering you're in a swamp in Florida.

I think I've seen 1 or 2 roaches there over the last bunches of times I've been. I've seen the odd bee or two, and that's about it.

I wouldn't count on it. They will more than likely be there.

The lovebugs do splatter on cars as you drive and you do need to get them off as soon as you can. One quick way if you don't have the window cleaner and towels, is a gas station's windshield wiper brush. Run that over your front grill to get some of them off.

Also, lovebugs are not dangerous (other than to paint). Can they be annoying? Yes, but they do nothing more than fly around and mate. They don't sting, they don't bite, they don't burst when they land on you. And trust me, slapping them to kill them while they are on you, is not the way to go. Remember, they are filled with a substance that can cause damage to cars. Do you want that on your skin or clothes? If they land on us, we let them be or just blow them away.

I've found using a wet fabric softener sheet works best for removing the mess from the bugs. They may not be the handiest things in the world but they do work and work very well.

We're an hour West of Disney and they were VERY thick yesterday. Couldn't even enjoy myself by the pool.

Oh no! I've never seen a love bug so I don't know what to expect. We're driving to disney next Saturday. So they'll be getting on us at the pool?
