If you are doing My POINTS

I now have a MacBook with Safari and can no longer use my MyPoints toolbar.:sad1: Does anyone with a Mac know if I can still click through my MyPoints e-mails or am I out of luck completely?

I have always used a Mac since I've been a MyPoints member (over 10 years) and have never had problems clicking through the emails, or shopping, or anything else. If you use the toolbar for searching, you can still search at the MyPoints website (just be sure to click "Search the Web" when you enter a search term rather than "Search MyPoints" to get credit for your searches). Another option is to use Firefox as your browser instead of or in addition to Safari. I think you might be able to use the toolbar with Firefox. Hope that helps!

Thanks for your response, Peggster. But since my computer is through work, I must keep Safari as my browser. Since Safari doesn't support the toolbar, do you know if I can still accumulate points by clicking thru e-mails (minus the toolbar)? If so, how then will I be able to see my point tally and redeem them, etc... Do I just go directly to a website? :confused3

I too must thank the poster for clueing me in on the MP offer on pledge and glade, I guess I was so used to ignoring the fine print. Then I got a 2nd chance in my email today and could not print them fast enough, will be taking the coupons to the store this weekend and looking forward to seeing those points posted.

I am saving points for Gas GC, that is how we pay for our trip to Disney as we like to drive there, sure saves a lot in the long run and we worry less about the price of gas if we have saved a lot of gas GC's.

Thanks again.:thumbsup2

One was for Pledge and the other was get a free Glade candle with a purchase. I do not recall the exact wording on the purchase. I think it was a twin pack oil.
Do you have the number and info of where to FX the receipt? I bought the Pledge with the coupon and can't find the info. Thanks.

The number is 1-800-342-8131. This is per the email I received early this AM concerning the Pledge, Glade and the Raid coupons.

Sorry to bump up an old thread, but are those of you who do My Points still getting the 5 point bonus emails? I stopped getting any about 3 or 4 weeks ago. I only get two emails a day from them now - one for Featured Offers and one for Featured deals. Neither of them have the 5 bonus points.

I'm just wondering if something has changed recently with My Points. I even went through and redid my profile and made sure all of the interests were clicked.

I'm still getting offers for 5 points-- not as many as I used to, but they're still coming through. Was there a time that you weren't clicking on them? I noticed that when I was too busy to click on them, after awhile, they stopped sending so many to me.

I'm still getting them, not a ton like it used to be last year, but some. They seem to come in batches, or maybe it just seems that way because I set them all aside and do read them in groups. I *only* click-thru on the ones where you get points just for that. If it's "read this now and go to the site, then sign up and..." I don't even click through... so maybe they track that?

yes fewer 5 pt emails! i get most my points now from shopping and i always go to mypoints and use their link, but my points never credit soo then i have to wait 30 days and email them and they always adjust but still annoying. for the poster that had a question about the toolbar, i dont have them installed anymore just go to site and search the web from their search box on main page and you still get the poitns for doing web searches that way. and yes those glade and cottonelle deals were awesome! waiting for more those really racked up my point totals last month..

seems like they have cut way back on the number of e-mails that we get 5 points for clicking thru; I have been a member for 5 years. I have started scrolling down the message before I click. If I am not getting anything I see no reason that MP is going to get credit for my click through. Can't know for sure but I bet MP still gets something for our clicking on an email even if we don't.

I do some stuff with My Points. I haven't seen it mentioned here, but you can earn 250 points each month by doing the "Plus Points" under the easy points tab. I just wouldn't use a normal e-mail address for it, set up a spam one if you haven't already. It usually takes less then 10 minutes for 2 offers to credit (they are free offers) and you get the 250 points. I make sure to do these monthly.

The reduced number of emails is why I'm quitting them as soon as I get enough to cash out one more time (just 50 more pts.) They used to be pretty good, but lately they're just clogging my inbox with crap that doesn't pay. Sorry, that doesn't work for me. I can get just as good (or better) shopping payouts on other sites.

I get 3-5 emails per day that are worth 5 points just for clicking. I haven't given up on mypoints yet but I'm not using them as much as I use the cashback websites (fatwallet and ebates). Just like a few others have mentioned, I'm weary of fighting for the points I earned because they didn't credit.

But if they want to give me 75-100 points per week just to click through and another 15 points per survey that I fail, I'll stick with the program. It adds up to at least 1 $25 GC each year.

BTW - Your personal email account doesn't get junked up if you create special email accounts just for your rewards programs. I just set them up with the program name in the email address so that ebates might be something like marionnetteEB @ hotmail . com and mypoints would be marionnetteMP @ hotmail . com. Works like a charm and I don't have to check most of those accounts unless I'm expecting a confirmation email or submitted a problem.

I started getting fewer emails, then I went into my junk mail and found that some were going there.
I also go thru mypoints to the disney store. I buy gift cards for disney world there and get points. Just did it 2 months ago, so it works for me. Lately my purchases weren't crediting. I waited a month and let them know, next day I got all my points, from Kohls, Kmart, Drugstore.com and Disney store. So don't forget to keep all your purchase receipts until you get credited.

I still get lots of click thrus daily, points adding fast. Have not bought anything in the longest time all click thru and using coupons printed from website.
