where would you have us spend our beach days?....

My family is staying on property at WDW for the last two weeks in August 03 and want to spend one or two days at the beach. My kids ages 10 and 14 have never seen the ocean and my husband (big kid at heart) has never gone swimming in the ocean he only "saw" it on our Honeymoon in MA.

The perfect day at the beach for us would be to get an early start in the day bring a cooler of lunch fixings, swim, hang out in the sand maybe collecting shells, etc. We are not interested in shopping or attractions. This would be a day for serenity.

Florida locals help me out...

If we go for only one day should we do the coastal side or the gulf side?

If we decide to go to each side on different days which beaches specifically would you suggest?

Top 3 - not in any order.....

1. Ft Desoto park, St Pete Beach

2. Coquina Beach park, bradenton beach

3. Fred Howard Park, Tarpon Springs

all in Tampa Bay area, beacause the west coast is the best coast.
