which would you recommend?

in our party will be 4 adults, a 20(boy), 19(girl), 12(girl), and 6(Boy) year old- none of whom have been to disney

would your choice change any if I said it would just be 2 adults and girl12 and boy 6?

Thanks, Jen

We asked a lot of people who visit frequently and heard "Chef Mickey's for breakfast over and over. The only reason I would change is if someone in your group would rather have characters other than Mickey and friends.

Our favorite is breakfast at Crystal Palace. It's a beautiful restaurant...the food is good and if you get an early reservation, you are able to get in and walk down Main St. before it's crowded. Great photo op! :)

We absolutely love the character breakfast at Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club - it has a great variety of food, servers are Awesome!! There is always great character interaction, it has a laid back feel and we never feel we are being rushed to leave our last group was age 10 months - 86 yrs old and everyone had a great time!!

We go to WDW about 6-7 trips a year and we go here at least 1 or 2 times a trip.

We usually schedule it on a day we are going to MGM or Epcot since you can boat from the Yacht & Beach or walk to either park.

Have a great time!!

Nice revolving restaurant with Characters and you are in booths for added privacy where teenagers can be themselves and not worried about being embarrassed. This place is more relaxed and quieter then Chef Mickey. Some of the views nice. Take a ride on the lands boat before and your kids can see what they are eating.....

It really depends on what characters you want to see, but I love Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace, CM is Mickey and friends, and CP is Pooh and friends

I think this depends on what characters your children like more! Chef Mickeys is Mickey ,minnie ,donald, daisy, goofy, chip ,dale and they also play this music and everyone swings there napkins and the characters dance etc.. it's really fun! Crystal Palace also very good but there is only Pooh eyeeore tigger and piglet. Never been to the garden grill so cant comment on that! I vote chef mickeys if it is your only character meal! We have both on the agenda for our visit! Chef Mickeys is a must do for my kids and they are 8 and 13!! SORRY JUST REALIZED IVE BEEN TO THE CAPE MAY CAFE THAT IS ALSO REALLY NICE TO! I think they had Minnie goofy and chip and dale charcter interaction there was great!

My family really enjoys the Character Breakfast @ Crystal Palace in comparison to the others (Chef Mickey’s, Donald’s B-sauras, Ohanas, etc.). Our favorite meal is breakfast with an early reservation time (before 8:30 am) because we are able to walk down Main Street with just a few other people (it is like a ghost town). We have some great pictures from this time with the castle behind us.

We're an older adult couple who's children are now adults and no longer visit WDW with us. We still visit one character meal each trip, the Cape May character breakfast. The food is always very good, and the atmosphere is organized and calm.

...the princess breakfast at EPCOT in Norway is the best buffet as far as food goes.

I have a DD10 who insists on going every trip (for the princesses) and I do not argue.

Best breakfast sausages in the "world"!

FYI - No Cinderella :guilty:

Another vote for Chef Mickey's. I love the excitement and characters. The food quality and choices can't be beat. Everyone can find lots of yummy items on their buffet. It's also a great way to visit the Contemporary Resort if you are not staying there.

Has anyone ever eaten at the Donald's Breakfast in AK?? I know they are changing the place it is held at. What other character are with him???

If you could only have one character meal, I would either recommend Dinner at Chef Mickeys or Lunch or Dinner at Crystal Palace. Would you rather see Mickey and friends or Winnie the Pooh and friends? Both places are really nice and have great food. We ate at both several times. I don't like the Character Meals for Breakfast because I feel they're so expensive. Why not get a quick cheap breakfast and either take a break at lunch and have a nice fancy lunch for not much more than you'd pay elsewhere, or go to dinner and pay probably as much as you'd pay anywhere. The food is really really good. For appetizers they have shrimp!, they have carving stations, the mashed potatoes at Chef Mickeys are the greatest, they have make your own sundae bars and many other assorted delectable deserts. I'm telling you, don't waste so much money on breakfast! Have a really nice relaxing fancy meal for lunch or dinner. You'll have the same characters but get a much better value for your money.

I vote for the Cape May at the BC. Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale. FUN!

I vote for 1900 Park Faire Supercalafragalistic breakfast: Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, the Mad Hatter :thumbsup2 . My kids feel it is a little more grown up that the Mickey meals.

My second vote is for Crystal Palace. This one is a must for us. Pooh never goes out of style :goodvibes . Getting an 8:10 aADR on a day the park opens at 9am is great- getting in before the crowds :thumbsup2 .

Both of these restaurants have great food.

Chef Mickey's was good for the character interaction but I found the food a bit of a let down. The Liberty Tree Tavern was really good I found (no mickey though) but it's really what character your party likes :thumbsup2

Here is how my family would break it out....

Me - I would chose dinner in the castle.....

DD (17) - she would chose breakfast in the castle

DS(14) he would chose breakffast at cyrstal palace

DH - would chose to stay at the golf course!!!
