Ahoy, Karin!! After weeks of off and on internet service (days without and then on for 2 mins and gone... ) we might have internet again for good...fingers crossed.

Had a near perfect short trip to Boston and Cape Cod over the holiday weekend....still love the Cape as much as ever.

I've a lot of catching up to do while you and Tom have fun at DLPR!

Thank you. There were a few small hiccups, but we really loved our trip to DLRP.
Venice is so beautiful, but believe me, there is MUCH more to see in Italy than just Venice.

We had a really fun time at DLRP and I think you would not regret staying at Hotel New York. We loved being so close to the parks. Tom and I had booked a water view room and it turned out to not only be a water view, but a partial park view, as we could see the Tower of Terror. Breakfast was nice - they even offered hot items. The rooms are ..... well, let's say European. They are well kept, but lack the magic of a room at WDW. Would we stay there again? Yes, in a heartbeat, if they lowered the prices or if we would not have to arrive on Friday/Saturday when prices go really up.
Now, did you notice my new ticker? Yip we are going back, but will be staying at the offsite villa again.

Well, I have at least booked a room for February. No flights as of yet, so everything is subject to change... but for now, my dates are 2/20 to 2/26


That looked VERY snowy as you were driving home. In fact, even before you were on the road it looked like weather wasn't the nicest. The waves were quite impressive in the ocean.

IF you decide to keep your room for February we definitely have to meet - our dates DO overlap. We will get back from the DREAM on the 21st and will leave on the 23rd. I am keeping my fingers crossed it will work out.

As for the weather in Italy, that is the typical fall weather here. We knew we were in for some bad weather, and knew it was going to snow, so we were prepared, but it still was a shock to see the first snow of the season. Something I really could do without!

It stayed cold and overcast, but that is the weather you expect in Europe that time of year. We knew what was in store for us and were not disappointed to see no sun.
