If we can DREAM it, we can do it! ..... another 30 day vacation Update 02/07

Loved all the Venice pictures. Rachel was looking at the pictures with me and thought Venice looks amazing as well as the scenery on the way home. We are staying at Beach Club in Dec. I love the decorations in the lobby and it always smells like gingerbread.

Hi Karin :goodvibes

I'm so behind with everyone's TRs

Just enjoyed my breakfast whilst catching up with your wonderful report :thumbsup2

I started off in Key West and ended up in Venice! - phew, I've travelled a lot of miles this morning :rotfl:

I am finally all caught up! What a wonderful little, albeit soggy, trip to Venice. Love the pictures and it's really makiing me want some murano glass!

And gelato

And soprassetta!

How fun to stumble on a Disney store, so sorry about the scary boat ride and coming home to snow. BOO!

I just saw on the news this morning the water in Venice is up to people's waists! It's been raining quite a bit there lately.

Karin,
I have not been on for that past two weeks. We have been focus on the terrible storm that hit NY. The town we are from was really hard hit. Vito's parents lost the first level of their house and two cars.I have organized a donation drive here in Florida to help and we will bring all of what we collect up to New York soon.
I really loved taking the time to catch up on your report and LOVE the pictures of Venice and hope some day to get to see it in person. I am also so excited that your WDW trip is fast approaching we need to make plans to meet!!! Send our regards to Tom and I can not wait to read your next installment!!

Wow - How did I get like 4 updates behind in two days? :rotfl2:

Woo Hoo for your DLP trip only being a few days away. That's awesome. :cool1:

Those buildings in Venice continue to amaze me. I really, really enjoyed all your pictures.

The four cheese pizza looks so good!

Yikes - Where you ready for snow on the way home? :scared: Heck - you're probably used to it.

I had to hurry up and finish this "side" trip before we head to another location, which we will do in less than 48 hours. :scared1:

Venice is really beautiful, even though at the moment it is UNDER water. ;) They are having a heck of a flood and lots of damage.

We knew we were in for snow on the way back - not just that much. ;) But we had changed tires beforehand and had the car checked and knew we were okay. It was just such a reminder of winter and I really would not have needed it. ;)

Still loving the Venice pictures.

But I have to say just looking at those dessert pictures, I was feeling :sick:

Glad you like the pictures, Kathy. As for the dessert pics, I guess my photos don't do them justice. They actually looked pretty nice, just disappointed in taste.

I am thinking about it , but the cost of the cruise for a single person would be high, maybe I should look for a friend to go with me :confused3

Do you think we could talk Christine into it? Or one of the other grannies from your December trip?

I am glad you enjoyed our little trip to Venice. I so hope Rachel decides to study somewhere abroad for a semester and you get to visit her and will be able to revisit some of these cities.

Ah, Beach Club! Lucky girl! I remember the beautiful carousel in the lobby! And Stormalong Bay ........ and being so close to Epcot! Can't wait to hear all about it. :thumbsup2

Ahoy, Karin!! After weeks of off and on internet service (days without and then on for 2 mins and gone... :furious: ) we might have internet again for good...fingers crossed. ::yes::

Had a near perfect short trip to Boston and Cape Cod over the holiday weekend....still love the Cape as much as ever.

I've a lot of catching up to do while you and Tom have fun at DLPR! :cool1:

Wishing you safe and Magical travels! :goodvibes

Sorry for no updates or replies this last week, but work was a little crazy and we had to prepare for our weekend getaway. ;)

And having that said, it's time to say goodbye, as tonight we will be at Disneyland Paris!

Don't know if we will have internet, but we will be back by Monday. :wave2:

Oh, I hope you are having a wonderful time at DLPR. I can't wait to hear all about it!

Really enjoyed the final Italy updates. I will definitely have to see Venice when I someday get to Italy!

Hi Karin

I hope you are having a wonderful time at Disneyland Paris

I'm very keen to here what you think about the Hotel New York as I am thinking of booking it for my trip in Feb (never stayed there before)

I shall wait for the Karin thumbs up (or down) before I book! :thumbsup2

Safe travels :goodvibes

Ann, should you decide against a February trip and I'll nag until you decide on a Disneyland trip in September 2014. :lmao:
I am sure that one day we will get together.

Well, I have at least booked a room for February. No flights as of yet, so everything is subject to change... but for now, my dates are 2/20 to 2/26

That looked VERY snowy as you were driving home. In fact, even before you were on the road it looked like weather wasn't the nicest. The waves were quite impressive in the ocean.

Hope your trip to Paris is AMAZING!!!

Hope you are having a fabulous time at DLP! I am finally all caught up and you are gone! :rotfl2:

Loved the Vienna pics! The snow pics made me cold - guess I had my a/c up too high. :goodvibes (just had to say that) Looking forward to seeing what kind of trouble you get into on this trip - I'm sure they must have a Dooney you don't have???

Talk about being behind. ;) I am even behind on my own threads. :rotfl2:
Get some snacks as this trip report is heading towards Disneyland Paris in a few hours. :goodvibes

:woohoo: Feels good to be caught up, doesn't it? I am on the way there. :lmao:

Italy was fun, even though the weather was typically autumn. But that's what you have to expect in Europe in October/November.
That boat ride was definitely scary! :scared1: Especially since they loaded it so full of people that the waterline got VERY close to the gates. :scared1: :scared1:

great update! sounds like a nice little weekend getaway!

It definitely was and we just had another one ...... extra report coming up shortly. :thumbsup2

I just saw on the news this morning the water in Venice is up to people's waists! It's been raining quite a bit there lately.

There were lots of reports on the news about the flood in Venice here too! We were lucky that we not even needed Wellingtons! :thumbsup2

Michelle, so sorry to hear about your parents in law! We were so concerned about all our friends who live in the NY/NJ area. How did Tracy do? She was on my mind a lot.
And I am very glad that you liked the Italy trip report - there's another one on the way for our DLRP trip.
We definitely have to make plans for February - we would LOVE to see you!
