Would we be able to get a reservation at AKV or BLT for September or October? This would be our 4th year in a row of going to WDW and while we weren't going to go this year, well you know how it goes LOL!! We got the 40% off code and we also were contemplating CBR for free dining. Honestly though, after staying at Contemporary last year it's hard to think about going back to the smaller room again

I'm just wondering though if we'd be able to get something though at this point?

Also, right now our travel dates have been between September(free dining) and December so what would be the best use year? We do have a 6 year old so at some point we won't be able to just take off whenever.

You might be able to get a reservation, if your dates were flexible. I know that studios are totally booked for Columbus Day weekend in October at every DVC resort. But other times in Sept or Oct may be open.

If you think you might switch to traveling in August (summer vacation) when your 6yo gets older, I would recommend an August UY. That way you will still get 2009 points (if purchased by July 31st). You want a UY right before your typical travel times. August would be great for travel from August thru March.

Ask your Guide to make getting you a room for your date a condition of your purchase. Guides *usually* are able to spread a little bit of pixie dust and get you a room as a little added perk of buying direct. BUT, that's not guaranteed and you might have to go to other resorts other than AKV or BLT. Good luck!

And, they might not be able to do anything at all. But you won't know unles you try.

Thank you all very much! I signed up for the webcast and I've already spoken to my guide to let him know we were interested again. Looking at resales though it sure is hard to think that there's going to be too much that beats those. We got another pin code in the mail today, Disney knows they have us!! LOL!

We are in the same boat. I am looking to do a nice size add-on and now with the prices of the resales its hard not to. But I want to wait for the webcast to see what incentives Disney is going to be offering.

i assume you know that you can never get free dining on DVC points stays, but i'll post it just in case...

Yepper 2 out of 3 trips we did free dining at CBR and then last year we had a 40% off code and stayed at CR. I really do love many things about CBR but that trip to CR really made me feel like I could never go back to value or moderate rooms again

Yeah. Definitely ask your guide, he can pull out of cash inventory to make the sale happen.

When we went to the DVC setup in Woodfield in late March, I said to close the deal I wanted a 1BR Lake View over Mother's Day Weekend (6 weeks out).

Our guide said he pulled two of the nights out of cash inventory and got us our stay.
