We are not buying any special passes, Not even Park Hoppers but we are staying at the Grand Californian Hotel. Do we get into the parks early on certain days? If so do you know what days, and how does this work. Do we show a roomcard or something? Do we have to get a room card for everyone in the room or is it ok if the kids don't have one. Thanks, Gina

I believe last year during "off season" hotel guests got an EE. Call the hotel guest services and flat out ask. If they give you the "well things change every year" deal, then ask about the past. This should give you an idea.

Best of luck!!!

Hi Gina

We just got back from staying at the Grand Californian and had a great stay - yes as a Disney Resort hotel guest we were able to do Early Entry everyday that is was offered. We went Monday and Tuesday and then we got a special message on our room phone that Disney was offering an extra Early Entry for hotel guests on Wed - Early Entry is usually not offered on Wed so that was nice. You do not need a room key for each person. When you go through the gate at Disneyland you will need to show your park tickets plus your room charge slip - it is a small piece of white paper that allows you to charge to your room -both Dh and I had one but we only needed to show one when we went through the gates with our family.

Have fun and enjoy - we got so much done by doing EE everyday that it was offered! :sunny:

I'm confused about the "not buying any special passes, Not even parkhoppers ..." part. You need to have some form of an entrance ticket (parkhoppers, single day tickets, APs) into the park itself. If you do, then yes. If staying at one of the 3 disney properties, you are allowed early entry into DL on the days that it is offerred during your stay (ee is offerred Monday, Tuesday, Thrusday & Saturday). It is an unpusblished perk and may change at anytime. We used it last Oct and again this past Aoril w/o any difficulties. You just need to show your white chargeslip at the turnstiles. The chaege slips show # of people in party as well as dates of your stay. If you and your dh maybe going it at seperate times then you each need a chargeslip. Just request an additional one at check-in.

That's what I figured, but I just wanted to clarify. Have a wonderful trip. Hope you enjoy your stay at GCH.

If I book GC through Expedia and buy my park hoppers through the Disney Store, will I still be able to use EE? I am assuming I will still be able to charge back to the room so I'll have the charge slip to show?

TIA!

Yes, you'lll still have EE. Its part of your hopper and a perk for staying onsite, so you shouldnt have any problems.
