If they did ever do a DVC at River country, what would it look like?

Rumors have been circulating for years as to what Disney might do with River Country. Do you think they would put in a bunch of cabins and keep it like Fort Wilderness, or put in something like the Wilderness lodge?

Back in January, DVCNews put out some leaked drawings. See the link and discussion in this thread.

Sadly, cabins it won't be. Disney is thinking big it looks like.

Worst of all, those DVC folks would try to pool-hop at our Meadow Pool too!. :rotfl2:

I just recently saw renderings of the "proposed" DVC at River Country. It just showed where different buildings would go as well as the pool and the parking lot. Hmm I will have to go hunt that down now.

The one that Bama_Ed posted is much better than what I saw. The one I saw was just an aerial photo of River Country with an overlay of which buildings would go where.

. . . Worst of all, those DVC folks would try to pool-hop at our Meadow Pool too! . . .

1) Which, as DVC Owners, they are permitted!
2) SADLY for us Fort devotees.
3) To answer the question
. . . What will the DVC Look Like?
. . . anything that disturbs The Fort ambiance looks like C-R-A-P (imho)

NOTE: To us old timers and lovers of The Fort and don't want the DVC, "Beauty is in the eye of the Be Older".

When we owned DVC we thought a DVC RV Resort with sites on Bay Lake would be cool and worth the $$$$ to use. Could be a concierge type of thing, BUT, that would never happen.

I think a DVC Resort would have plenty of rooms, WL type of atmosphere but more outdoorsy, and a pool that would rock and be off limits to everybody but those staying on sight at the DVC.

Maybe if they dug a canal between the two and we could have like a fort on each side and lob water balloons back and forth while people in canoes "ran the guns".

Be a fun way to keep them out of our pools...
