If the Pres. Election Were Held Today...

If the election were held today, who would you vote for?

  • Bush

  • Kerry

  • Nader

Results are only viewable after voting.
I tried to support Mr. Bush... even tho I voted for Gore last time. I always try to support the President. However, I strongly oppose his re-election this year.
I read an interesting quote from someone who lives in the Bay Area in Sunday's paper
"The best way we can support our troops is to bring them home safely" I totally agree and would add....... "NOW!!"

I did not vote for Ca. gov. Schwartzanegger........... but he is doing ok. Gray Davis had to admit that Arnold was using his celebrity in a positive way to help Ca. Arnold has made some serious faux pas in the past 6 months. But he seems to always come out smelling like a rose... amazing.

I'd much rather vote for Beanie the Meanie.;)

Bush has my vote. Not getting into a debate but I'd vote for anyone else before I vote for Kerry.

I heard something interesting from a news comentator the other day......

He said that in modern times, the sitting President has either been reelected or lost the election by a very wide margin. He said that "we" either decide to keep him or "throw him out" as a nation.....

He then went on to say that the "race" is much to close to call right not, and it's only May. A long time in "election" terms....

I'll vote for anyone who will bring our troops home from Iraq.

I'm kinda like that too, reluctantly. I'm not fond of any candidate but Bush is the lesser evil IMO.

It's like being at a buffet where all the food is gross.

I went ahead and threw my vote in for Nader, for two reasons:

1. Living in Massachusetts, Kerry's going to win the state anyways, and get the electoral college votes, so I feel like voting for Bush here would be throeing my vote away; but if Nader gets a certain amount of votes, it helps lead to the acceptance of a third party in politics, which would lead to a better political landscape than our current one, where most people have to vote for the lesser of two evils.

2.I like cheesing off the hard core partisan people who think you have to live your lives according to the party lines.

Believe it or not, I'm undecided at this point -- I probably won't make up my mind until after some of the debates later in the year.

That's not going to happen right now..no matter who wins.

I agree w/WeirdEyes. It's not like Kerry or Nader could bring the troops home any faster. It is going to take a few years to get everyone home as they have to maintain some kind of stability and control over the region. It has been proven time and time again that the citizens of Iraq will not honor any type of peace treaty. We can't start pulling out in mass and leave the rest as sitting ducks.

Also, I firmly believe that President Bush wants our troops home just as much anyone else. This has to be very frustrating for him as well.

I also supported Bush's decision to go to war, but I am voting for Kerry. I feel that Bush is just too socially conservative, and I don't like politics mixing with religion.

interesting results so far -- more DISers voting for Bush than for Kerry. the most recent national polls show Kerry in the lead.

why the disparity?

ah, well, the only poll that counts is the one in November.

Probably because there are a lot of conservative DISers. (As you probably know from the debate board. ;) )

Bush is still my choice. I support him and pray for him. He has a tough job that I definitely would not want.
