^^^ I like Shangai Shuffle best! :cool1: Looks like a total blast! The 2nd looks a little more formal. The Glamour Night sounds fun too. Will people get into it and get all Hollywooded up? Do you have a budget?

::yes:: Our lottery draw is tonight. Jenna is in charge of the tickets as there is no lottery or gambling in Utah. :rolleyes1 There is a reason Nevada has the best schools in the nation.

I  the BC/Poly combo best but obviously that's the most spendy. We liked the POR well enough. Jo is a big fan. The bus system was the only thing that chapped my hide. I guess because it's such a big resort their bus system gets taxed at the end of the night. Leaving MK one night, we had to wait for 3 buses before we got on. The POP looks like a total blast and if we had one less person or I said we did, I'd stay there in a heartbeat. :thumbsup2

The Shanghai Shuffle is fantastic, as I said my Hen night was there and it was an amazing night. The only prob is that we're not sure how many people would go with it being on "a school night"

No gambling......are you allowed other vices;)

I'm with you on the BC/Poly combo. We're kind of stuck with POR for the first week because the other family is five strong, though Brian (the dad) was showing alot of interest in BC last weekend after I did a bit of a sales pitch:thumbsup2 . For our second week on our own it's kind of up in the air, it's going to be POP/CSR/BC or Poly, dependant on finances and where we stay the first week.

^^^^ Hmmm, I forgot it being a school night. Can you have it closer to when the kids will be off for the Christmas holiday?

We are not allowed any vices. All vices must be checked at the door. :rotfl2: Clearly, I smuggled some in. But really, even the beer they sell in the grocery store has less alcohol than the kind you can buy in our lovely state owned liquor stores. You can't buy any wine or liquor in the convenience or grocery stores here.

So you are staying with the other family the first week? Does the BC fit 5 as well? What's the price diff between the BC and POR?

Nope, unfortunately this place is incredibly popular and is usually booked months in advance for weekends at any time of the year

:scared: OMG I would never survive....mind you I have not had a drink since Sunday:angel: due to the diet:sad2:

We're staying in the same resort as them for the first week but they have said they want to stay in a villa for the second week. That's not what we want so I said they should just go ahead and book a villa for the second week for themselves and we'd stay in WDW somewhere. There are BC rooms that have to queens and a sofa bed that accomodates 5, I think the price difference for a week is approx. £180/$360 or that's what I told them when I was doing my very subtle sales pitch:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

I love BCV. Probably my favorite with Pop a close second.

Wow! So many trips--I'm jealous! :) I've never been to BCV, but I'm sure that it's nice to able to walk to and from World Showcase. I'm very intrigued by Pop now -- maybe instead of trying to afford a deluxe next time, we'll just save some bucks and stay there!

I think I told you how I felt about the Dark knight...........Go to Mama Mia! I LOVED it.........I might be going again tomorrow!
Enjoy it . . .again! I might have to sneak out of the house and see it -- DH isn't too keen on going.

The 2 babies have gone out to visit my Mum this morning so it's very peaceful here :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:
Very nice! I hope you found some relaxing things to do!

At this point I know very little. Hebrew school starts back up in September and I'll sit in with another teacher. It's Sundays from 9-11:30 am.
Is there a Hebrew School in Davis County or is it in SLC?

Aww thanks honey:grouphug: , the McDonalds are all well, I hope you're lot are good. I had to work three days as opposed to two this week and I've been asked to join the social committee at work which means I've spent my time looking into options for my work's Christmas Night Out, so it's been a busy week with little Dis-ing.
The options all sound great! Keep us posted on all of the details! popcorn::

We are not allowed any vices.
Well, we are allowed two -- overeating and scrapbooking. :goodvibes

Baby D had his pictures taken today -- he was happy and smiling, and I think they turned out well, but I'm a little biased. Also, I may have a pre-trippie starting soon! We have the chance to get some free hotel nights near DL, and so we're thinking about a little trip in December! I'll need some suggestions from the Californians amongst us!

No, it's in Ogden. Congregation Brith Sholem. It's in a seedy part of town. ;)

Utah would rather have us die fat than drunk. :rotfl:

:goodvibes I bet he looks adorable. I know I'd love to see a photo. They grow so quickly that first year. :cutie:

A trip to DL in December!!!! :cool1: pixiedust: What hotel for the free nights?

Went to the pool today, it was so nice and relaxing. :cloud9: Then we decided that we'd do a little online back to school shopping. I scored some awesome deals!!! :cool1: I found a Limited Too code that I could use with their sale stuff. I told Gab, the only way she's going to get L2 is on sale and online. :thumbsup2 Then we hit The Children's Place and took an additional 15% off their clearance. They didn't have a ton left but Chloe is a t shirt junkie so she scored some and they all got jeans.

Tomorrow we were going to go back to school shopping but we did a lot of damage tonight. I do have a 25% for the Gap/Old Navy so maybe we'll hit those.

Kirsteen, how's the DIEt going? ;) I never got that email.

I think if the place is that popular and you had your hen night there, I'd go for it even if it's on a school night. The babysitters can tuck the kidlets in.

Your travel companions want to stay off property? :faint: Clearly they are newbies. I like the idea of splitting up after the first week. Do they want to do Universal and Sea World?

I'm leaving for Church Camp tomorrow.

I don't know how I missed this but I hope you are having a great time! :goodvibes

278 days until WDW!!!! ::MinnieMo pluto: :donald: ::MickeyMo :goofy:

11 days until Jellystone with Jenna and the gang!!!! :flower: paw: :snail: :squirrel: :fish:

I can't believe I get to see my sweet friend and her awesome family in 11 days!!!! :teeth:

In the light of the morning, we spent a lot last night. I kept waking up all night thinking I had to break the news to DH. :rotfl2: Besides all 3 kids needing new runners, Gab needs leggings, Chloe needs pants because she's grown :woohoo: and Josh might need pants. I am going to make him try on what he's got when he wakes up. I am totally sure that won't piss him off to the 10th degree. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

As promised, I washed the window sills and door knob areas this morning.

The 2009 rates for Disney are out so I have been checking AAA and Disneyworld.com room only prices if Jenna decides to leave WDW earlier than us or in case we want to all stay somewhere over the weekend so we don't chew up all her DVC points. AAA tells me nothing is available which I find impossible to believe and WDW's prices don't seem to have increased all that much if any. I had been thinking about doing 2 rooms at the POP just to try it. :scratchin

:) Sounds exciting! I kind of forget about Ogden, even though I have family there. How many kids are in the school? Do they just go on Sundays?

When the photo studio puts the pictures online, I'll send you a link.

A trip to DL in December!!!! :cool1: pixiedust: What hotel for the free nights?
We have a choice between a Super 8 that's close to the park or a Holiday Inn that's about 8 miles away but has a shuttle -- we're still deciding on that. I got a postcard in the mail for discounts at the DL resorts, so maybe a third night at the Disneyland Hotel? :rolleyes1

How exciting! I went to Yellowstone for the first time a couple of months ago. Where do you stay when you go?

Something has to be wrong with AAA. :sad2: That far out, you'd think you would still have lots of options. Yay Pop! :cheer2: That sounds like it could be a lot of fun!

::yes:: They go on Sundays. My guess is that there are about 40 kids or so.

:thumbsup2 Did you go to Kiddie Kandids?

My SIL always stays at the Super 8. She loves it. 8 miles away would be near Fullerton or Buena Park, I think.

Sounds like some great deals! I can't believe it's back-to-school shopping time already. :scared1: Are the kids excited to go back?

They still have 3 weeks off. Summer is never long enough for us. We are summer people. Now winter on the other hand drags................. Josh tried on 9 pairs of pants and only 3 fit. Looks like he'll be getting some new pants today. He's SO picky though and I can never tell what he'll like. :confused3

Last time we rented a cabin with my FIL but this time we are staying in the KOA Kabins. :rotfl2: I hate when businesses try to be cutesy with their names. They are basically wood tents. We got 2 Kabins next to each other. Should be fun. They'll be here for 2 nights first and then we'll caravan out when M gets off work. :woohoo:

Something has to be wrong with AAA. :sad2: That far out, you'd think you would still have lots of options. Yay Pop! :cheer2: That sounds like it could be a lot of fun!

That's my thinking. I was reading in the resort section that most people are calling. I'll call from work. I hate to burn cell minutes. Too bad I can't text AAA. ;)

Two rooms could work if they have the adjoining doors, other wise DH and I would have to stay apart. :(

We've spent a good few hours today school uniform shopping for Becci but managed to get it all eventually. Big debates over skirt lengths and shoes:scared1: . Anyway thank the Lord that's over for another year though I feel like I've just spent the equivallent of the debt of a third world country:scared: .

I cheered up immensely when I came in to your post about the 2009 rates being out:woohoo: :cool1: . I now have a page full of different combination options for next year and even though the TA that does the discounted rate said that I couldn't book until Oct/Nov time I think I may drop them an email to double check that I can't book sooner:hyper:

I'm aware I didn't email you the diet details, I've still to double check som details with my mum and then I promise I'll send it to you. I've been on it for a week and I feel better but don't know if I've lost anything. I probably only feel good because I've had no alcohol for a week now  ....come to think of it that's quite shamefull to admit isn't it:blush:

^^^ I miss the days of school uniforms. It was spendy but so much easier to shop. It could be khaki, navy, white, or red. Period. :thumbsup2 Is Bex happy with what she got? What are her uniform color choices?

I would send your TA an email. I am going to call AAA tomorrow to see what their room rates are like. If we need to add a room only portion to our trip, I'd rather book it sooner than later and then apply a discounted rate if one becomes available.

:goodvibes I am glad you are feeling better. No booze will do that but so will no soda, sugar, and the good stuff. ;)

I have been searching high and low for Mario Kart for the Wii for Josh's birthday this Wed. I had no idea that it would be so hard to find. I have told him he'll get it but perhaps after his bday. :guilty:

We found just about everything the girls needed for school today. OldNavy.com has their leggings for $4.99 and I had a 25% coupon so I got 5 pairs for about $25. :woohoo: I am letting DH take them all for shoes. He's stronger than I am. ;)

Somehow...I lost my quotes...dagnabbit.

Let's see...yes, Jenny...we're sending in income thingies and some things from his doctors to the med assistance company.

And what do I do with all of my Mickey Heads?

Whatever I want baybee!

Scrapbooking...calendars...cards to hand out to other DISsers...

But, really...I just look at them and think:

"Why do I have so many of those things???"

:confused3 :lmao:

Score on your shopping too Jenny!

I'm going to get Jon new clothes...although he hasn't growed enough to need them really...I just want him to be cute as he goes to junior high.

But, I think we're finally leaning towards being a Medium instead of a small. And we're finally truly a 7/8 instead of a 5/6...although he still wears smalls and his 5/6...they're just a little short for my liking on a boy. But, it's a step up...as he's been in the same size since he was 5. ;)

:goodvibes Awwww, cute Jon. Chloe is now finally into a 6-7. She'll be 10 in December. ;) Our sweet little shorties!!!

Jon will be in Junior High? :faint: Damn girl!

We spent SO much and I am truly feeling uneasy spending that much money in 2 days. I have been so frugal lately due to the economy and it feels so odd to spend spend spend. The only shopping I do anymore is grocery shopping.

I can't wait to hear how it goes with PSI. Keep me in the know.

I have been looking at my Mickey heads and thinking I need to get my fridge calendar started. :hyper:

Jon is 12. :faint: AND...he's starting junior high in a week and a half.

I'm devastated. I'm dying. I'm dying and devastated.

^^^ I miss the days of school uniforms. It was spendy but so much easier to shop. It could be khaki, navy, white, or red. Period. :thumbsup2 Is Bex happy with what she got? What are her uniform color choices?

She has to wear a skirt, trousers or long tailored shorts in black(which she's over the moon about:cloud9: ), white blouse, school tie, black socks/tights and black cardigan/jumper. The school have said they're very strict about skirt length which caused a lot of debate :headache: but all in all she really likes her uniform. We bought five blouses, two cardigans, a tank top, one skirt, one pinafore, socks/tights, shoes and a schoolbag.....I am terrified to count up the cost as the shoes alone were £45/$90

I would send your TA an email. I am going to call AAA tomorrow to see what their room rates are like. If we need to add a room only portion to our trip, I'd rather book it sooner than later and then apply a discounted rate if one becomes available.

I think I will, what's the worst they can say "Go away crazy lady we told you that you couldn't book until October"....I can live with that.

:goodvibes I am glad you are feeling better. No booze will do that but so will no soda, sugar, and the good stuff. ;)

Definately feeling better but also craving rubbish that I didn't even bother about before I started my diet:guilty:

I have been searching high and low for Mario Kart for the Wii for Josh's birthday this Wed. I had no idea that it would be so hard to find. I have told him he'll get it but perhaps after his bday. :guilty:

I hate when that happens.....:goodvibes good luck on finding it.

Choosing shoes was the WORST part of our shopping trip.....like mother like daughter I'm afraid:rolleyes1

(Goofy)Jen, I know exactly how you feel, Becci starts high school 2weeks today and is SO excited about it:yay: ....me, not so much :worried: :sad2:  .

Jo...how are you staying sane with two babies to care for :scared: , you are a VERY good anutie and sister I hope your DSis brings you a lovely gift back from NYC in appreciation. Where in NY is she looking?
She's looking in the Westchester area, she thinks anyway and I'm so cross with her, she left me with all dirty bottle, only 1 clean set of clothes for the kids, the lounge covered in toys and her bed all dirty, I'm moving into her bedroom with Ben so I had to strip her bed at 11pm last night trying not to wake the baby :headache:

It was 10 here, noon in WDW, and 5 in the UK.
You were OK then :rotfl:

Is DH there and is this a good time to ransack your house? :rotfl:
He's gone home so no breaking into my house OK ;) :rotfl2:

:goodvibes You poor thing! How do they grow up and we stay the same age? Is he liking girls yet?

OH yes. I found a notebook when we were unpacking the other day and I thought it was trash...and then i looked closer.

All through it it said:

"Jon loves Bailey."

Who is this tramp that has captured my boy's attention???
