If Rockin Roller Coaster were to change bands, who would you choose?

I had to get in on this because while I love the RnR, I do not love Aerosmith. That said, I think Bon Jovi or Def Leppard would be so awesome. Either one would make me really happy and be perfect for that ride. U2 is my favorite band of all time, but I don't think they fit in with the whole "story" of that ride at all.

Seriously, I am not bashing Bon Jovi, but I agree with pp that said that edgier songs would work better for a coaster like this. Bon Jovi is more top-forty than rock, imo. I voted for Van Halen, but I would rather the Aerosmith music stayed.

First off I don’t want to offend anyone.

Please keep in mind that I’m in my forties.

The groups everyone is mentioning are great from my perspective, but I’m a dad! I’m a parent! I’m not cool, hip or edgy. Neither are any of the groups being mentioned. U2, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Metallica, Van Halen, Kiss, this is classic rock. I listened to this music twenty years ago.

At some point they will have to change to a different band because kids will say “who is Aerosmith”. That is just the way it is.

The question isn’t who do you like. It is who do your kids like.

Queen. Hands down. I'd say they have the most diverse sound...more than any of them listed, and many people can appreciate at least some of their songs. Plus, they're timeless.

But if we were going with "who the kids like", it'd be a Lady Gaga coaster. But ;] she's definitely not Disney material. Although I'm sure the coaster would be reapulstered to look fierce.

Sadly we will NEVER see RNR featuring Queen... Too much controversy. (though how awesome would it be to be sitting there watching the light count down your take off with Freddie belting out one of their many many hits?!?!)

My first choice would be Van Halen. But that would NEVER happen because it would be too complicated to piece together. Hagar or Roth? How would they get them in the same room to film the intro? Too many pieces wouldn't work.

After that I'd choose Motley Crue but that really doesn't seem like a good Disney fit not to mention I don't think Girls, Girls, Girls, Shout at the Devil and the like are really family friendly, nor should they be. That's their music and it's great but it doesn't fit in a family atmosphere.

I suppose of the other options, (I'm ignoring Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus) Bon Jovi would be the best fit. However, I seriously doubt it would ever happen. They've been notorious lately for not wanting to be associated with glam and metal or anything else that made them popular in the first place. They're headed strongly in the direction of country and I'm pretty sure Jon has already done one duet that was on the country charts. I dunno about other people but I would never ride this thing if they were pushing their newer music in it. Awful.

Miley and Jonas Brothers? Automatic ride suicide if you ask me. I can't even imagine. They should just keep Aerosmith!

I say Van Halen allll the way! Van Hagar was a blip that never should have happened, killed the best of two musical styles and formed crap. Given the ambiguity of the poll, however, I voted for the Crue....thinking of my faves like Kick Start My Heart and Dr Feelgood. Perfect! Bon Jovi is a joke.
