It's me the newbie with more questions!!! If the price of the Hyatt doesn't come down then I will need to choose another hotel for the night prior to our cruise. We have the Disney Cruise Line transfers booked so what's a nice place near the airport with a complimentary shuttle back to the airport the next morning. What time should we return the next morning?? Finally what's the lowest price you've seen for the Hyatt in June? I would love to stay there because it would be so convenient but I really don't want to pay $157. We have AAA or it would be something like $177. Thank you so much for your help.

Depending on what time you get to the airport the day before your cruise - maybe you could just go out to the port, there are many ltown car services that could do this. We stayed at the Ramada in Port Canaveral. Others stay at (and I hope I get this right) Ron Jon's.

The Ramada has a shuttle service to the ports. When we did this in 2003, our rate at the Ramada was about $90.

Our flight arrived at 11:00 a.m. in Orlando. If we would have scheduled it to arrive in the evening, we probably would have stayed near the airport, and still taken a town car to the port the next day.

I feel your pain on the rates - that is beyond my threshhold of pain too. Did you try anything like priceline?

YOu can get the Hyatt at priceline. Go to biddingfortravel.com and look up the going rates right now.

You should be able to get a fairly inexpensive room at an airport hotel through Priceline. We stayed at the Marriott, I think, two years ago. It was around $50. 3 star on Priceline. You might want to wait till a little closer to your trip before you bid.

We stayed at the Sheraton. There are a bunch of hotels just off the airport property all built about a little lake. As far as I know all offer shuttles to and from the airport. I think we paid $69 for 4 for a suite.
Dave should have a link on this site to them.

We got the Renaissance thru Priceline last year($60) and loved it! Free shuttle to and from airport and free breakfast. Would have preferred the MCO Hyatt but the rates have risen thru the roof!

Thanks for the great suggestions! I would love to try Priceline but I know very little about it. How can you be sure you get the hotel you want? I will go to Bidding For Travel right now and try to learn the tricks!!!

Thanks again!
