Ah, I forgot you were on a July Cruise! I was thinking like 'out of country' meant Europe.

I have.. may I say it....35 days till mine! Whoop!!!

Arranged my port transporation yesterday AND since we are doing only one day at MK after the cruise I managed to FINALLY snag an Elsa & Anna FP meet & Greet AND got lunch at BOG. BRING ON THE CUPCAKES!!! WOO!!

and YAY!!!!!!! OMG, I'm going to be seething with envy with these trips I have to endure you taking before our trip! Because it's all about me, if you hadn't realized that yet.

OMG- My mom took her first ever selfie yesterday (I think) and posted it on her facebook as her profile picture. I was dying laughing. I clearly know where I get my selfie skills from.

So I write this on Sunday evening after a hectic week and find myself sick. Boo. No voice and just worn down with a head cold.

This impacted my last day of 'planned' runs. So oh well. I planned on my long run today & it just didn't happen.

Total Miles Run: 10:55

Monday- 0.
Tuesday- 2.10 avg pace 12:30
Wednesday- 3.2 avg pace 12:30
Thursday- 2.10 avg pace 12:30
Friday- 3.15- avg pace 11:45

I'm ok with it. So all is well.

I have another incredibly busy week coming up and so I'm sure that will also impact my miles run. But I found a 10K to sign up for at the end of June downtown Chicago and I think that will be my first 'summer race' this year!

In more fun news, I'm going to bombard you with pictures of my daughter's Birthday party. She turned nine & is a tomboy. She absolutely LOVES reptiles & I found a reptile person to come to our house. It was so, so awesome!

I love my kids birthday's. I go all pinterest with them... and they always require I make their cakes for them.. it's part of my traditions to make their birthday's as special as can be....

This was such an awesome party for my girl. She LOVED it & all the kids loved it!! What great memories!

With that, I'm off to bed to nurse my cold! No rest for the sick and weary. We have to go to work tomorrow to fund our Disney vacations! Hahahaha!

what an awesome party! i showed our oldest the pics because she used to love it when the reptile guy would come to her preschool. i blame him for her love of snakes and wanting a pink toed tarantula for a pet....

If Sarah had her way we'd have all kinds of creatures in our house! Our 3 dogs and 1 cat is enough for now!!!

I love pinterest! Hahahaha!! I was going to make that frog out of fondant but I showed Sarah the pictures and she said "mom, can you just buy a frog to put on top, I don't think your frog will look like that & I don't want you to embarrass me"

I think the crazy weather is just making people sick. I think my hectic schedule doesn't help! I feel better today -even though I still have no voice- I feel OK. May even run a bit at lunch.......

I do like my Pinterest decorations! Although I usually have much grander ambitions than actually turn out- due to time constraints!

She had a great party. She was so anxious about it because she has anxiety problems and was worried people wouldn't like her party.. and she was so happy because everyone just loved it. Even the 'girly girls' she was worried about!

My mom is not a twin. Although my aunts/herself all look a lot a like. As do I look a lot like her.

And yes, I got the a$$. Did you see the facebook comment about it? My bestie had it & then freaked out when it started squeezing... and so manuvered herself down so that I would end up with it instead!

And yes, they do have a$$es. I know this because the lady pulled out corn snakes before the python and had to put one of them back because it pooped all over itself!

You see that big bump in the middle of the snake too? Yhea, we were told "don't push on that" that was his lunch. It was this HUGE lump. I thought maybe it was my chihuahua but she was still yappin in her cage.. so it wasn't.

She was really worried everyone would think her party was lame or be scared... and I swear I sat around and looked at all the little kids and every single one of them was grinning ear to ear the whole party!

And I got several messages/texts from mothers saying how much their girls were still talking the animals. The lady was so good with pulling out one animal at time, telling the kids about it (to make it less scary) to build their confidence to touch/hold it.

I didn't mind anything there except the spider. I don't do bugs well. But the reptiles/snakes I could handle.

Charlie has tons of eye issues (she has corneal dystrophy) so we are always at eye specialists and eye doctors!

I got my voice back (somewhat) now the rest of my body has morphed into a cold . AH well- par for the course!

Oh yuck. Hope you're feeling better soon. I am just getting over allergies/cold and it has been rough this year. The weather definitely does not help.

I had set a monthly goal at the end of March to hit 40 miles in the month of April.

Then that first week I injured myself and was out of commission for 9 days!

I wasn't even really keeping my eye on my miles after that because I figured it was a lost cause....

What I did know was that I was pushing myself hard the past 3 weeks to really get out and make myself run no matter what..... and so imagine my surprise when I logged on today to see the monthly total and find:

APRIL MILES: 36.72 Miles.

Just a little over 3 miles short of my goal. With 9 missing days. I was like....

I am so happy with those numbers. Especially if you know how often I struggle to just get myself out there!

I found this quote..and I liked it... It applies to me A LOT.



Overall, I count April as a success.

And my May goal remains 40 miles as well.

Also, I am considering signing up for a 'mini' triathlon at the end of August. It's part of the 'big' Chicago Tri and it's called the 'SuperSprint'. It's basically a quarter of the full tri numbers (Little worried-as this is uncharted territory - anyone do a Tri before? Any advice?

Yay for almost hitting that goal. I bet you did three miles just walking around in general so you probably hit it without knowing it!
