If money was not in question

I would choose one of the 1 or 2 bedroom DVC villas. Even if they don't need it, having a fridge, laundry and kitchen would be awesome. Since location is important to me, I would choose Bay Lake or Grand Floridian as my first choice and Beach Club or Boardwalk as my second choice. Of course Animal Kingdom Savannah view looks pretty good as well, and Wilderness Lodge is beautiful. Now that I think about it, Club level at the Polynesian or Contemporary would be nice. So many good choices. Good luck narrowing this one down. :confused3

Grand Floridian, theme park view--specifically Sago Cay or Conch Key.

we did a split stay once and finished our visit with three nights in a dormer room in Sago Cay. it was beautiful to see the castle from our bed. :lovestruc

i know some don't like the balconies on the dormer rooms, but i loved that it was enclosed on the bottom. my son loved to sit out and watch the monorails and it just made me feel a little less stress.

we also love the Contemporary. but there is something so glamorous (?) about GF. and the main building is just gorgeous!

I would choose Poly, I think. Maybe CR tower. I have the money to stay there, really, but it's just so hard to justify the expense when we spend so little time at the resort and have always been happy with Pop. I would rather use the savings and put them towards another vacation (outside of WDW).

If money is no object: four nights at the Wilderness Lodge (my favorite resort), followed by four nights at the Poly (a very close second to the WL and my wife's favorite resort). Love the theming of both.

stay where we are staying in 9 days and make it possible for many families that would never have the opportunity to be at the happiest place in the world.

If money was no option I would have to pick Bay Lake Tower, great new place with views of castle and fire works and you can walk to MK. Th suites can sleep 5 and you can cook and o laundry in your room. However, at $500 per night it is out of my range.

If they think they might be in Epcot more (all the great restaurants), I would stay at YC because it is the BEST to finish watching Illuminations (I get so sentimental just thinking about it) and walk back to the hotel. Nothing better.

If they think they might be at MK more, being on the monorail is the BEST. Of course a lagoon view in any of the monorail resorts would be spectacular. If they like a little more formal atmosphere, the GF is sublime, a pianist in the lobby! If they like a more beach resort atmosphere then Polynesian.

We were lucky enough to ride the Grand One Yacht out of the Grand Floridian to watch the fireworks and light show and it was one of the most beautiful experiences our family has had.

Fun thread! I'd say a grand villa at BLT, GF RPC with theme park view, WL CL:cloud9:, or Poly CL theme park view.

If no kids boardwalk area, if kids are with us then monorail line for easy access to MK and epcot. Would love to have a view of the castle as my night light!! But wife and I love epcot so beach club would be nice so we could walk over. Probably stay like three weeks and do some fishing one or two afternoons and try all the restaurants I could! The best part would be not feeling rushed or having to decide what we will skip this trip.

My husband and I stayed at Polynesian Resort and Animal Kingdom Lodge (Arusha savannah view) The two are spectacular with great restaurants.

Polynesian: better transportation and better quick service restaurant.

But AKL has a better pool and two hot tubs (no hot tubs at Poly).

We have done Poly Theme Park view club level and AKL Savannah view club level (we were on the Arusha savannah the year before they started charging extra to stay on that savannah). If money was no object, I would do choose either one of those again. If they really wanted a good theme park view, though, Contemporary Theme Park View club level might be the way to go.

Cinderella's Castle Suite!:goodvibes But if that wasn't an option Grand Floridian RPC theme park view definitely!!

OP here. My friends have chosen the Yacht Club with a lagoon or pool view and deluxe dining. This is going to be fun!

Next we get to look at all their great dining options since they'll be so close to Epcot and have lots of credits to use. Yay!

Thanks for all your input everyone!

Buy a house in Golden Oaks! You said money was no problem!

Really I'd stay at POR and donate the extra money to Give Kids The World or Make a Wish.

We would pick either the Wilderness Lodge or the Grand Floridian with a view :) Bah, I just saw your post that they picked the Yacht club. To each their own, I guess...;) Haha, that is a beautiful resort too.
