If money was no object, which resort would you choose?

All the concierge options other people have mentioned sound great. But I was really pleasantly surprised to find that, although I loved staying at the GF (in a pixie-dust upgrade to a room looking straight over to the MK!), I liked my AP discount CBR stay every bit as much. Even with all the money in the world, I'd visit the rest, but come back to the CBR once in awhile too!::MinnieMo

Jajuan,

I am not laughing at your choice. I really like the atmosphere at Port Orleans (aka Dixie Landings when I was there). The grounds, the paths, all the quaint buildings including the boatwright mill building. I like the path that follows the "river" to POFQ. I think it is a very charming resort. To pick one resort as a luxury fantasy is hard for me. I like the Poly a lot but I own a couple timeshare weeks in Maui and Hawaii (Big Island) so I think it would make me wish I was in the real Hawaii. I know GF is supposed to be the most high end but it seems to me too "over-the top" formal and elegant. I might still be tempted to chose that resort, however, just to try it once. Tied with the GF would probably be a suite at WL since I really like the atmosphere there. There is something so restful and serene about it, you just want to sit down, look out over the pines, the rocks and waterfalls, and say "Ahhhhhhhhhh."

I would stay in the honeymoon suite at the GF. We had Castle View at the GF for our honeymoon, but I would love to stay in the honeymoon suite at least once...maybe if and when I can talk DH into doing a vow renewal in about 10 years!!!

Ya know, I've been thinking of changing my October Poly reservations to the CBR, mainly because I've saved so hard for this trip since my h isn't paying a cent. I would like to come back with some money left over!

I love the Caribbean style, although I'm a little worried about the size of the resort. . .ya know, kids getting lost and all that!

I would do as a few others mentioned, spend a few days (well, let's say a full week since money is no object) visiting the various deluxe concierge suites - esp CR 14th floor and Poly LV. But, I would love to have a stay at the Walt Disney Suite at GF - what a better way to feel a part of the Magic?!

last year we did our once-in-a-lifetime trip: a week at the GF: part lodge concierge (Sugar Loaf Key)and part Royal Palm (our room was right next to the Roy Disney Suite).

Having done that, I would love to...do it again! LOL Sugar Loaf Key, though. I didn't personally care for RPC as much as I thought I would. I like looking at the GF, when you're in the main building, you can't SEE it LOL :D

I would LOOOOOOVVVVVVVE to try concierge at the Contemporary. That would be next on my list...you know it's funny for as many people as I see posting saying they feel uncomfortable at the GF that it's too formal or whatever...that is exactly how I felt in the lobby of the Yacht club! (We didn't stay there just visited). There's a hotel where I wouldn't feel comfortable myself!

hmmm. dreaming of the CR concierge now...lgolglglaglgglagagllllglgl (homer simpson noise)

If money was no object, then I would love to stay concierge (or in a suite) at the GF or the Poly. I'm hoping that when I turn 40, my hubby will take me to the Poly to celebrate!

:sunny:

Lagoon View Concierge at the Polynesian. Maybe one day my dream will come true.........

I've read all of them :teeth:. Well, I've never even stayed at a WDW resort, but if I were really wealthy, I spend a week to 10 days a year at each deluxe resorts' honeymoon suite--- one resort a year. DH and I are ready to come back home after 10-13 days (did the 10 day thing last year and the 13 day thing in 12/02 for our honeymoon). The first resort I think I'd stay at would be WL because it was the first WDW resort we ever visited, and it was love at first site :lovestruc. Then the CR, just becasue it SCREAMS Disney to me. Then Poly for the same reason (Walt's resort ideas). Then YC, BWI, BC, AKL, GF--in that order. Then I'd start all over again :teeth:

:wave2:

The Polynesian is still my favorite so it would be my choice. I would also like to try the AKL concierge.

Besides these, I really like POR. I never feel like I miss that much when I stay there. :)

If money was no object I'd stay in the Yellowstone Suite of the Wilderness Lodge until I was sick of it - and that would probably be never. Do you think Disney would just let me buy it??

CR 14th floor suite....the entire trip. 5 nts. i wish i could win the lotery so i could call and change my ressie :(

thats my dream room :) :hyper:
