A post I made on another thread got me thinking.
I'd love to hear from other DISers who got to do something they would never have done if it were not for the DIS...no matter how ordinary, brilliant, obscure or just plain unbelievable.
I know that most people will have met many new friends thanks to the DIS (myself included...erm unless y'all disagree) and I'm sure most of us could list off enough things to have a top ten, but I'll kick things off with a couple -
If it were not for the DIS I would never have thought it was ok to be male, straight, mid thirties and a huge fan of Disney and it's plethora of pixie dusted characters. Yes I guess it's a little stereotypical but it wasn't until I started meeting fellow DISers that I realised there are other fellas out there that like this stuff as much as me (don't get me started on reactions I get at work - "You're going there again?"). WDW - can't think of any place I'd rather be right now...Epcot WS specifically
I also of course owe having great fun at night on TSM and an amazing first time cruise experience (that has me wanting to cruise again) to the DIS
