If I wasn't crazy about ASMu will I feel the same about POP?

Hi everyone. We are considering POP for Marathon weekend in January.We stayed at ASmu in June for 5 nights after 7 nights at PORS,and were underwhelmed.We had several issues with the front desk.In a nut shell they screwed up every issue we had (including giving us keys to an occupied room!) We are not at all picky,but we spent far too much at the front desk trying to straighten out several issues. We also did not care much for the atmosphere of ASMu but thats just personal preference.What is your opinion????

I just returned from POP and will never stay there again! You get what you pay for and I feel it is well worth the extra money, for me, to stay at POFQ! I saved money on the room but lost a lot in time and comfort. Every aspect of our trip was affected by our resort choice. The busses were more crowded and further away from the park entrances. The food was considerably better at POFQ. POP had no towels at the pool and there were no shady places to relax. I also missed having a fridge and a coffee maker in my room. Even getting ready in the morning was easier at POFQ because of the dressing area with the curtain and the 2 sinks. It was much more peaceful and relaxing at POFQ than at POP which had an institutional feel to it. I really missed the hot tub at night to sooth my tired legs and feet, it really helped me recharge for the next day! I don't think there is anything wrong with Pop, I just was much more comfortable at POFQ!

It depends on what you did not like about Music. If it was just the service and theme, then you could like Pop. Good and Bad service can happen anywhere.

However if what you did not like were things such as room size, outside entrance, bed size, then you will be repeating the situation at Pop.

We have stayed at Pop before and loved it. It is probably our favorite value resort. We have never had any problems but with the large number of people staying there, there will be issues that come up every now and then. If your main problems were with service, then you might like Pop better.

We hated ASMu but didn't mind Pop, and the kids liked it. I think it helps that Pop has its own bus and doesn't share with any other resorts. Also its newer and has a much better food court area. I would stay at Pop again, but would never do an AS resort again. I say give it a shot.

I've stayed at every resort on property and did not really care for the all stars- any of them but we LOVED the POP! Give it a try!

LoL. I have the opposite problem. We stayed at the Pop in May and hated it. Now we're staying at ASMu in Jan. since it was a last minute decision. Will I hate ASMu because we hated the Pop? LoL.

I've stayed at Movies and POP and liked them both. Will you like POP better? Probably not. If it was just the issue with the front desk I would say stay at POP but since you said you didn't like the atmosphere then I doubt the atmosphere at POP would be any better for you. Go with the mod.

Stayed at Pop in June and had several issues with the front desk.

Bad customer service can happen anywhere though so keep that in mind. And it was late (11:30pm) when I had those issues so it might've been just a tired CM. (also keep that in mind)

Lastly, when we stayed at the ASM in 2002...customer service was TERRIFIC! LOL

So really...it's just like tossing a coin. If it works, great. If it doesn't...try another resort next time. LOL
