If I wanted to raise a cow

Well, it needs it's own bedroom for sure. And a bathroom, unless you don't mind sharing your shower with a cow.

Figure a cow weighs around 1500 pounds. That's 6000 quarter-pounders, so do the math.:teacher:

I have absolutely no idea but I love your enthusiasm. I totally dig cows and would do it in a heartbeat if I didn't fear for my own inadequacies as a city girl. Love the idea, YAY you!

All joking aside, cows are herd animals, so you'd do best to have two or more. They really do not do well alone. Check your local ag zoning laws to find out what you need. The rule of thumb for horses is 2 acres for one, and an additional acre for each additional horse.

Or the Sears catalog. You might need a king size bed. And a crib

If you are serious, talk to you local county extension agent. They usually work co-operatively with the local university's agriculture program.

Or you can contact that one poster that rents a cow in Switzerland (supposedly)

One cow, 2 years old or over needs a floor area of 40-50 sq ft; 8.5-10 ft of ceiling height; 30-40 sq ft of shade per animal; 10-12 ft of shade height; 300 sq ft of area if ordinary dirt lot or drylot; and 50-100 sq ft of area if paved lot.

Ok so I checked withe the proper depts.

A I could get a cow upstairs to my condo, but getting them out...not gonna happen (squatters rights..or a fear of walking down stairs you decide)

The cost benefit of raising, and emotional attachment outweighs the BBQ I was gonna plan.

Maybe start with something smaller first and see.

If I had a nickle for every time this little trivia fact got me in trouble as a kid on the farm. I had to repeat it frequently to remind myself - "REMEMBER! You can walk a cow UP stairs, but never DOWN."

:lmao:
