If I Wanted To Catch The New Avatar, Star Wars And Toy Story

Let me clarify this. The USA today article says:

"A report from MouseHub revealed the full maps to the new plans for Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios park in Orlando, Florida, which will include both the new Star Wars Land and the new Toy Story Land."

The plans they are referring to are from a permit for storm water control work and they do NOT say anything specifically about SWL or TSL, they only show infrastructure work that is being done to accommodate park expansion. The permit does say the work will be done by October 2018, but this only refers to the work in the permit, not the actual work on the lands.

This is Disney do you think they aren't going to get the permit approved. I'm fairly certain Disney is set on where things will go but yes things could change that's doubtful tho.

They will get approved, but the question is how long it will take. The permit Disney filed to get approval for more wetland impacts across the property took well over a year before it finally got approved.

I feel like this won't take as long.

I'm planning my next trip for September 2017 and it would be the last trip before my husband and I try to have kids. I'll get to see some stuff completed and then assuming we have children we'll wait and go with them.

My trips seem to be 5 to 7 years apart. While I don't think anyone is excited to see construction equipment and ride closures due to construction when they go, prolonging my trip out to when all the most major things are done just isn't what I want to do. That would mean it would be 9 to 10 years in between going in 2011 and going the next time (2020 or 2021- due to expansions at WDW and Universal-which for Universal is planned to be through 2020).

We're just going to have to make the most of our trip and know that the next time we go there will be much more waiting for us :)

I went in May and plan on travelling to Florida from the Uk every 2-3 years. I was dreading all the construction when I went because I knew that Disney Springs was a mess along with the hub expansion amongst other walls going up I thought it would dampen my experience.

Got to say the construction did not bother me and I had an awesome time, I thought to myself there's no point keep putting off a trip because this ride is down or that part is fenced off because that is always going to be the case.

In 2013 at Universal I saw Diagon Alley being built, obviously was disappointed but thought I will grab it next time I go, May 2015 saw Diagon Alley.

May 2015 - Saw Kong being constructed at Universal, again disappointed but so what, i will see it one day when I return along with Avatar Land and anything else that is new.

Basically, enjoy your trips and look forward to the new stuff that is coming in the future.
