I was wondering if I rent points to stay at a DVC resort, will I be able to link the reservation to MDX and book FP at 60 days? I have AP so tickets are taken care of.

Yes. Once the owner books your reservation, you just add the number to your account and you will do everything else just like you normally would.

We did a split stay in December renting points. We were able to book for the entire trip with no issues.

I rented through a broker and the reservation was on MDX within hours. Was super fast!

You just go to MDE and request the magic bands you prefer, just like any trip to WDW. Or if you already have decorated magic bands, you should just be able to use those.

Both! You can order new magic bands with a new reservation, but old ones connected to you will still work. You can see your active magic bands in MDE.

When I was checking in during an August '17 trip, the CM noticed I had a lot of older ones still active and asked if I was still using them or wanted to deactivate some. I had no idea I could reuse them (or no idea I could reuse them without going to the front desk and asking for a band from a prior trip to be connected to the current one). I deactivated a few, kept four active, and used them during a trip in February '19.
