If I rent a car off-terminal Where do I go to get it?

We rented a few years ago from a place off terminal and I remember it being pretty painless.After we pick up our luggage where do we get the shuttle?(I'm considering Thrifty)I can't seem to get a decent rate with any car rental in the terminal,even using Priceline TIA

Go down one floor, out the door to the appropriate bus stop.
They have excellent signage.
