if i made a mistake am i screwed?

i'm just trying to get into the members website to check if i made a huge mistake.

i may or may not have banked the wrong points.

we had 10 points and i'm not sure what uy they were - if they were 2007 and i banked them i can use them after sept 2008

if there were 2008 uy then they would be banked until 2009 which would be the mistake i was talking about.

if we go when we are hoping to go then it will be april 2009 and we'll be borrowing the 210 from sept 09 to pay for the trip and we but we'd be short points if we banked the wrong points uy

if we made that mistake is there any way to beg to have it reversed or are we screwed?

btw i'm still waiting to get into the member site

I think you are OK because we are in your '07 UY and those were probably the points that you banked. I don't even know if they allow you to bank ahead of the UY, that is right now, bank your '08 points into '09. Of course, if you can do that, I just learned something.

People have reported that for extraordinary circumstances MS has allowed a "once in a lifetime" waiver of the banking/borrowing rules...but frankly I'm not sure I'd use that for 10 points.

I don't know where you want to book but I'd probably look for a "less expensive" resort so you don't need the 10 points. In other words, if you planned on staying at BCV, I'd look at SSR or OKW instead and that would probably make up the 10 point difference.

Or else stay one less day.

MS would certainly be within their rights to refuse to correct the mistake. I guess you never know unless you call. Good luck.

You can not bank 2008 UY points until after your use year begins. I have points to bank, and I have to wait until June 1, the start of my use year, even though all of my 2008 Use Year trips are planned and booked.

I agree with Chuck - MS will not allow you to bank points before the use year starts. Since no one's 2008 use year has started yet (there isn't a January use year), you banked 2007 use year points. So relax! You did just fine!

phew - i had to reboot before i was able to get into the website but yes you guys are correct - it was 07 uy i banked therefore we're good to go for next April
