If I just want to emboss......

.... should I still get a cuttlebug or would the cute pink and black gadget (the one that looks like a handbag) be a better option? I really don't want to get sucked into buying loads of dies but a few carefully-selected embossing plates I could see a good use for. What do you think?

I just bought the cuttlebug, its cream and green and looks like a handbag! I am loving it, so fun to add the texture to my paper, will use it on my cards too!....so my vote is yes, get it

I just accidently won a bid for a cuttlebug and three embossing folders on evil bay I just couldn't pass up such a good deal. I too just wanted something to emboss with, but since I got the cuttlebug for the same price as a sizzix texture boutique which was my other option. I went ahead with the cuttlebug incase I ever want to use it to cut?? Maybe with old sizzix die cuts-that is a big maybe though.

I would go with the cuttlebug. We had the cute purse one and did not work very well. The Cuttlebug worked much better.

I would suggest the cuttlebug. Although at this time you don't want to get into die cutting you will still have that option should you change your mind.
