If I have kids credits left...?

We are planning to do Dxdp. My two oldest kids are Disney 'adults.'. There will be times when DS3 will want to share a meal withme or one of the brothers because of the amount of food on adult plate and lack of good choices on the kids meal.

At other places, it looks like DS10 would prefer the kids meal. (for instance WCC or Kona.) Will they let ds10 use a kid credit in that case? So, 2 kids credits and 2 kids meals at the same meal? Or, i guess he can get a kids meal and use his adult credit? or is it better to use any additional credits at CS before we depart?

If your KTTW card says 4AD1CH, then you can only order one child meal at a time. Most restaurants will let your 10 year old use his adult credit for a child's meal, but that would be a waste if you'd have a better use for that credit later. If any of you you would really be hungry later for CS by all means just save the credit. But the DxDP is a lot of food, you may not want to eat again for a while.

You could also just pay OOP for the second child TS meal, but then you run the risk of having too many DxDP credits left at the end of your trip.

Use the credits as you see fit, but don't try to hoard them or not use them because "we'll get a better use of them later". Later you find a whole lot of credits left and you're either scrambling to use them or leaving them unused.

You could order the one child meal and have the 10 year old eat it while the 3 year old eats from your plate. The Disney food police really don't care who eats what, just that the DxDP plan rules are followed for ordering.

Thanks Tinka,

Yes, i am not trying to save/ stock up the credits as i really have enough for eveerything we want to do. I am just trying to avoid ordering WAY too much food at each meal. It is only an issue a couple times, I think. Sounds like if I want to share a meal and save, it would be better to save 1 adult and use the Kid. That way at the end of the week, it could be used for any of us- not just the little guy.

Kids meals seem to always be left for us... so given the option I would use the kid meal and save the adult. That way if you decide you do need another meal (for whatever reason) your more expensive meals will have credits. Most kids meals are not very expensive. For $9 they normally get all 3 course.... I'm not sure you even get the app. for the adults for $9. For our may trip I'm trying to plan to make sure we use all our child credits but we run into problems when we order pizza... which we normally do at least once!

If you're ordering the skillet at WCC I believe that it's based on age, not how much the child will eat since it's an all you can eat meal. If that's what he'll want then you'll need to use an adult credit.
