If I had to cancel one...

We have more ADRs for T/S on the dining plan than we need, so I'll probably cancel one - we have never been to any of these - Ohana, Temmpanaki, Coral Reef, Biergarten, Marrakesh,Spoodles, (all for dinner) and Cape May for Breakfast. Its me, DH, and DD13 staying at BWI. I'm tempted to cancel Temmpanki since we have lots of Japanese restaurants in our area, but CM I talked to last night suggested skipping Cape May breakfast since it caters to younger children. DD13 seems to want to go to one character meal, but I wondering if she's just being nostalgic for the old days (we always went to Chef Mickeys). Also considering trying to get in somewhere for dinner at MGM if its not too late and taking the boat over, in which case we cancel both Cape May and Temmpanaki. Talk about last minute indecision! :hourglass

TIA

Cancel Marrakesh. We went there with DDs aged 4 and 1.5 this past nov....it was SO quiet in there. The dancer and band hardly were there (may 10 min out of the hour we were there). And the food was just ok. I guess I expected a little more, but we were disappointed with that one.

If i was u i would do at least 1 character breakfast....Cape may is going to have less children then chef mickeys...Soo keep that...If u have alot of japanese places in ur area then ditch the jap res. And if i was u i would ditch coral reef the food isnt very good there the only thing nice about it is the atmosphere. and if ur looking for somewhere to eat in MGM id go with the 50's prime time

i'd cancel tapennyaki(way misspelled) as that's why we never go, i can do it at home

never been to cape may character meal but when our girls were 16 and 18 we went to a character dinner at what is now the concourse and they had a great time, just different than as little kids

I would cancel Cape May but that is because we are not big breakfast eater, we went there in November for breakfast, and were not that impressed, it was just OK.

I vote for canceling Teppanyaki, too. We have been there once and realized there are much better Japanese steak houses at home.

cancell Cape May, we didnt' have the greatest experience there. Staff wasn't very good from the start. Then when DD burned her arm on one of the steam trays as it leaked, I had to ask several times for an ice bag or something. We told our waitress and she really didn't seem to care. Asked for the manager and someone else came out and gave us rubber glove with ice in it and walked away. No one really cared. We won't go back.

YO

ate there Christmas morning - just adults - teenagers stayed in bed -
we had great food and interaction with characters. Planning on going
back this summer - it was our first time for breakfast.....but we DO do
Cape May clambake every visit.

cancel teppanyaki, especially if you have the same sort of restraurant at home. Just nothing special!

When we go to WDW, we like to try a variety of restaurants in different settings.

You've got ADR's for the following:

'Ohana in the MK area

Coral Reef in Future World at Epcot

Teppanyaki, Biergarten, & Marrakesh for Epcot World Showcase restaurants

Spoodles in your resort area

And 1 character meal - Cape May

So, if I were you, I would cancel one of the World Showcase restaurants (Teppanyaki, Biergarten, or Marrakesh).

If you've got something similar near home, I would cancel Teppanyaki. If you have a hankering on your trip for Japanese, try and get into Matsunoma Lounge for sushi and tempura. It's top notch.

I agree! :) I would cancel Teppenyaki. It is really nothing different from any other hibatchi place around the country.

I agree with cancelling Teppanyaki. I don't particularly like it since they don't serve fried rice with the meals. When I eat at my local Benihana, that's my favorite part of the meal.

Of those I would cancel Marrakesh It is the only table service place at Disney I've eaten that I was dissatisfied with.

I would NEVER cancel Teppanyaki, it is a must do on each trip for us. We love the food and the atmosphere here. My son chose it for his birthday dinner. We love Marrakesh for lunch. A beautiful restaurant, warm and friendly staff, and good food. I would not cancel that.
We will not go back to Cape May Cafe. The quality of the food totally depended on how recently it was replaced on the buffet. If you caught something just as they replaced it, it was good. If it sat even a few minutes, it was not so good. Of course, we are from New England and accoustoned to good seafood.
Good Luck in your decisions.

I'd cancel Teppanyaki, especially if there are already enough Benihana type restaurants around you.

Another vote for Teppenyaki cancellation. Our dd's (12) still like the character meals. For breakfast they like the Crystal Palace and for Dinner they believe it or not enjoy Chef Mickeys. Hang on to all the Disney Magic with your dd it's the one place we all get to be kids and no one thinks your immature! I have heard there is a good character meal at The Grand Floridian also. BTW LOOVE the dining pl :bounce: an!!

I would cancel Teppenyaki especially since according to my list from the Disney web site, Teppenyaki is not even on the list so you would be paying out of pocket.
