We ate at both of these restaurants during this last trip (9/8 to 9/13). We split a lamb and chicken shwarma platter because there was so much food. The salads and the hummus were marvelous. It was also the mildest lamb I have ever eaten.
I would say that the food there and at Marrakesh is not spicy--just differently spiced. My husband had the lamb shank and couscous. I h ad the Night at Casablanca. In order to get the full flavor of the dishes, you have to indulge in the sauces that are pooled under the meats. Again, we had the nicest lamb. I asked the server where the lamb came from, and he said that they get it from Australia.
We did the Combination Apetizer for Two which included Jasmina Salad (watch out for the spinach!), Beef Brewat Rolls, and Chicken Bastilla. We had the pastries for dessert.
It was an enjoyable meal, but you have to be a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine. Not everyone likes the unusual use of cinnamon and cloves on a chicken dish.
And BTW, I saw several people get the mint tea at the Tangerine Cafe.
