I currently have a trip scheduled for April 3-9 with hotel and tickets in my package.
how late can I wait to cancel and not lose any money on this trip.
I most likely won't be rescheduling if I decide to cancel
I want to wait until the latest possible date only because of COVID.
thanks for any help in advance.

Tickets are nonrefundable. You will not get any money back, it's gone.

hotel, it depends on your individual hotel's cancellation policy. Without knowing your hotel we can't help you.

Did you book through Disney or somewhere else? I believe with Disney, you have to cancel 30 days or more before the travel date to get a full refund. 29 days or less and it's a partial refund. 4 days or less (I believe?), it's basically no refund. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong though.

If you booked through somewhere else, you'll have to consult who you booked through.

And this only applies to hotels. Tickets are nonrefundable.

sorry one last question, if I do have to cancel april 2022 and decide to book in another year does this information I found on the disneyland website mean my tickets would be good unitl 2024? this is our

irst disneyland trip so lots of questions, sorry

One-day tickets that are purchased this year are valid now through December 30, 2023.
Multi-day tickets purchased this year must be used within 13 days of first use or by January 12, 2024, whichever occurs first.

Are your tickets multiday tickets? If so then yes, you have until Jan 12, 2024 to use ALL days.

I wouldn't give up on the ticket refund yet. It's definitely worth a call to discuss options instead of wondering for months. Since you booked a package directly with WDTC, you are in a good (best) position. The 30-day rule was correct in the past (for packages), and I wouldn't wait until that deadline to get started. WDW spells out cancellations a little better than DLR currently. But they all go through WDTC. It's hard to imagine DLR has tightened their cancellation policy since reopening, given all the ongoing challenges. I just don't think they want to advertise easy cancellations.

That only applies to being charged a fee. Cancelling "for free" doesn't mean a ticket refund. It just means you aren't charged for cancelling your package. It states nowhere in your link that includes ticket refunds.

These are the Terms & Conditions on DLR website. They aren't readily posted like they are at WDW, but they are accessible in full on the final step of package checkout.

So good news, they haven't changed. This matches recent experience of two friends who were refunded "amounts paid" in full (they booked direct).

Good luck to OP. Hope you can make your trip or revisit in the future. :thumbsup2

I have two experiences where we booked a (package deal) directly with Disney that included both the tickets (park hoppers) and the on site hotel. This has been since the parks reopened from the pandemic. We paid the initial $200.00 required deposit. Twice we had to cancel and did so before the thirty day penalty date. The deposit was fully refunded. No penalty. Not sure if this is how you booked your package. If so then it should work the same way as long as you cancel before the penalty phase.
