We're spending Fri/Sat nites at ASMo, then planning on checking in early Sun AM for BWV. I want to be able to get to a park early Sunday and was hoping to check-in before the park. Can I park in the BWV parking lot since I'm going to be staying there that night? Should I valet park the car, sign in and then head off the MGM or Epcot from there? I won't have my car pass until I check in, but will have my ASMo car pass. Any suggestions on how not to waste my precious morning minutes?

You will be able to park. The guard has a list of check-ins. We always valet park and have the bellman take the luggage out of the trunk and put it into storage. The self parking lot is a long way to drag it yourself. We then have the bellman deliver it when we get to our room.

That's exactly what we did - checked into BWV about 8 AM on a Sun - valet parked (no charge for DVC) and had bellman take our luggage into storage right from the trunk. We then checked in and were given the # to call and check if our room was ready. We jumped on the bus and went to MK for the morning. Called after lunch and our room was ready - took the bus back, went right to our room, called the bellman and had our luggage delivered within about 15 mins. - painless! and with little to no time wasted - the tips were well worth the convenience - Enjoy!!

How much is valet parking, how do they know if you are a DVC member? I'm renting points from a DVC member.

Valet parking is $6/day plus tip. Some people tip both on dropping off the car and again when they pick it up. Others tip only when picking up the car.

Since you are a guest of the BWV Hotel, the charge will appear on your hotel bill.

DVC members have a membership card to identify them as DVC members. Since you are renting points, you are not entitled to free valet parking. However, you will most likely get a room key/resort ID that says DVC member on it. Because of that, you probably will not be charged the daily valet parking fee. Tipping is always appreciated (even if you are not charged the hotel fee).

HTH.
