If I buy SSR DVC now-am I going to have accomodations

for our trip that we planned for 12-26 thru 1-2? Will I be able to get them or do you think they will be booked?

You never know. That is a very popular time at WDW (as you probably know). One thing you can do is talk to your guide about the trip while you are purchasing. Sometimes they can work "magic" with reservations at the time of a sale.

That week is the most popular week to go to WDW, the crowds are over the top, and the demand for DVC accomodations are high. I would not hold out much hope of getting much with only 7 months to go to get into SSR now for Christmas Week. Like PamOKW said sometimes salespeople can work Magic when they know the sale is pending on whether accomodations can be had. It is a tough request.

There is a secondary issue here as well. In order to book, the building that you buy into has to be open.

Word has it that SSR has sold out the first three buildings and is working on the 4th.

Building 1 opens in May, 2 in June, 3 in July and 4 in August.

The next building doesn't open until sometime next year.

If building 4 should sell out and building 5 was being sold at the time of your purchase, I believe that you would not be able to make reservations for the dates indicated.
