If I buy a 300 point SSR contract tomorrow with a fall use year and I am issued this year's points can I immediately rent them out or will I have to bank them and wait to rent them out until fall? We can't use the points this year but we can use them next year when we are issued our next year's allotment of points. There is no way I can use 600 points next year so I've got to rent those things out.

I was in the same boat. The only thing you can do with those points is either bank them or rent them. Unfortunately you can not transfer the points until your officially in the system, hence the closing date on your contract. We didn't want to take the chance and rent our first current UY points and have something happen and then they fall into a holding account. So we banked 05 UY and posted for renters after the new UY begins. When we got a renter we used the banked points to book the ressie. With a fall UY you may have time to rent those points right away. We purchased in January with an August UY...so our banking deadline was Jan 31st...didn't give us much time for renting.

You could bank them and then use them for next year's trip(s).

Then you could bank the next year's points...etc.

Eventually you will catch up and use all your points. Sooner than you think, I would guess!

You might want to consider two 150 pt contracts instead of one 300 pt. one...they will work the same for you, but if you ever wanted to sell part of your membership you could, and smaller contracts bring a higher $$$$ amount than larger ones.

Only if you want to use the banked points for rent. You can always borrow next UY points to rent this UY and use the banked points for your own travel next UY.

Yes, that is the case. Once banked, they cannot be used in the current UY.
