If I book a room now...

and they offer free dining for next December at a later date... will I be eligible for the offer? Or should I wait till the last possible minute to book anything to be sure I get all that I can?

Just curious... still researching... not sure where hubby and I are even going to stay yet...

We love to eat so that is a major consideration. Unfortunately DDP will have us eating snacks and drinking sodas... which are of no or little value to us. We like signature dining experiences and table service. And now that gratuities aren't even included... I wonder if it would even be of value to us or if I should go ahead and book all of our best meals and plan to spend $200/day out of pocket to be able to eat really well for either lunch or dinner once/day and then a character or buffet type meal for our other meal which would be of lesser quality but still likely equal $50 for the two of us.

Any thoughts from other foodies?

I wouldn't take into consideration free dining in December. The only time free dining has been offered is during Aug-Sept timeframe.

December is busy enough that there is no need to offer free dining.

There won't be any free dining in Dec. Just book the room now where you want then look for codes to come out that will give you a discount closer to the time. I still think buying the Dining plan is a good value, not as good as it was but good, I personally would get the delux plan when I go again, I like the idea of three sit down meals a day.

There is no history of any free DP in December(though I think there may have been something for UK residents???).
If I were you I'd book now, then watch for codes/discounts as a PP stated.
