If I book a resort for Thanksgiving now...

and a code comes out next week for that time frame, can I apply it to the reservation I already made or do I have to cancel and rebook? I'd like to have a res in place so I can book ADRs all at the same time. (I can do that on Sunday) Otherwise I would just wait.

You could call and book a room at rack rate at the rate you can afford now and then if a discount comes out latter you could switch. The thing is that Disney decides whether or not to discount rooms based on occupancey.

Another thing to think about is, if a code does come out, there may not be availability at the resort you are wanting. Therefore, you would have to be flexible with your resort choice. I would keep that in mind and maybe list in resort choices in order of preference so that if there is availability, you will know which resort to choose. Just a thought.
