If HS closes at 8pm, what is the last seating time at Sci-Fi?

We are interested in eating late on the day we are visiting HS. We would like to see Fantasmic! at 6:30pm and then dine at Sci-Fi. Can we get a seating for 7:45ish or no?

Yes, the last seating is probably 8:00.

If you get the very latest seating, do the buses run late enough?

Usually they stop taking reservations 30 min before the park closes. So if it closes at 8, 7:30 would be last seating. Also the buses usually run a least an hour after park closes, so worst case senerio is last bus at 9:00. That would give you 1:30 to eat and get up front to buses. If Fantasmic is at 6:30 you could make a reservation for 7:10 and be able to make both and give yourself a bit more time to eat and not miss the last bus. Have fun!

They will run the buses until all the guests are out; however, if you are VERY late, they start to combine bus routes and run them less frequently.

7:10 ADR would really be difficult to make if Fantasmic is at 6:30. Fantasmic is 25 minutes long, and then it can take 15 minutes just to get out of the theater & down to the end of the street...it's you and 7000 other people leaving all at once, lol. They'd be lucky to be at that main intersection of Hollywood & Sunset by 7:10, and then it's another 5-10 minute walk over to Sci Fi and allow time to get checked in. I'd stick with a 7:30 ADR. There will be a whole restaurant full of people, there will be a bus. It might stop at more than one resort, but they won't be stranded.
