If Free Dining -> Discount Codes?

Free dining requires you book the room at the rack rate. No discounts. the free dining is your discount. At $38 PP thats a heck of a discount if you are staying at a value or moderate resort. The way we figured it last year we really payed for the Dining plan and got the room for about $15 a night plus a one day ticket since we have AP's and got to eat whatever we wanted to off the menues.

Last year I had a AAA package which had a DDP attached. When the code for free dining came out they applied the code and reduced my package exactly what I paid for dining. I KEPT BOTH DISCOUNTS! So yrs it can be done if you are talking to the right person. The cost of my discounted room did not go to rack rate. I'm sure as I did the math and saw how much the trip was reduced (the cost of DDP) !!!!:cool1:

I also *think* I had a discount attached with free dining last year. I didn't ever confirm it, but I paid LESS for a Moderate resort AND had to pay for my 3 year old DD (who was free the previous year). I called up, told the CM that I HAD to get a good deal in order to talk my DH into going. Oh, and that my DH didn't want to stay in a Value Resort. He said, "Let me see what I can do for you."

Then he came up with a price of :$1467.00 for 8 nights for 2 Adults and 2 Juniors at CSR with free dining.

We paid $1492.00 the previous year for 8 nights for 2 Adults and 1 Junior at ASMo. with free dining the previous year.

I still cannot figure it out, but was thrilled with it. :goodvibes

Was your AAA pkg booked by AAA or just with a code?

We have airline coupons so we get to go back if they have free dining!!!!! Whooo hooooo!

AAA did offer free dining. However, you pay AAA's standard rate -- you cannot get free dining with any special discounts.

2005 guests with a AAA reservation (discounted hotel) and paid dininng had their room rates increased to rack rate when their dining was changed to free. 2006 guests with a AAA reservation with dining were allowed to keep their AAA discounted room rates and still get dining for free.

:scared1: Went last year with two adults, 1 jr, 1 2 yr old, stayed at POFQ. Payed a lot more. What kind of tickets did you have?

I had 8 day Magic Your Way tickets...no park hoppers since we never seem to use them.
