IF CHECK IN ISN'T UNTIL 4:00, WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU ARRIVE UNTIL CHECK IN TIME.

We will be arriving at BCV in Oct. and we should arrive around 12. We will have a 5 month old with us (4 Adults). What does everyone do? Any ideas?

Currentlty, we are planning on walking around the Boardwalk or heading to Epcot since it opens at 11:00 (World Showcase).

Suggestions would be appreciated.:smooth:

Epcot is a great idea since it is within walking distance. If you don't want to pay admission anywhere on your "travel" day, we like to catch a Disney bus (no fee) over to Disney Marketplace and do a little browsing in the shops, eat lunch or maybe an ice cream and then head back. BCV will store your luggage for you until you get back. They will also give you a phone number to call from wherever you go to check on your room's readiness. Occassionally, they get the room ready early! Have fun!

This happened to me last month. I got there at 10 a.m. and swam in SAB until 3 p.m...my room was ready shortly after that. Saved on park tickets that day. Just hung around the resort :)

The Boardwalk is nice to walk, you can swim in SAB, you can go to DD, you can go play mini golf, you can go to a water park(although with SAB, it's almost like a water park). You can rent a boat and sail the water near Epcot/MGM, past the Swan and Dolphin etc, you can go to Epcot or MGM(if it doesn't negatively affect your pass situation). You can pray that your room is ready early, so that you can settle in a bit!

Beaches and Cream for lunch and then a stroll on the Boardwalk.:smooth:

You can also sit and relax in the Breezeway or the Drawing Room over at the BCV. There is a TV in the Breezeway and you can watch the swimmers in the quiet pool from the Drawing Room. These will be nice if your baby needs to nap.

First things first--check in at 12 and maybe your room will ready, if not they will give you a card with a number on it to call to see if your room is ready during the day. Just because some resort tells you check in time is 4 oclock does not mean you can not check in and get the room before 4. What it means is that the resort or hotel does not promise you the room until 4. However at WDW they made a major change to this when they added the word after 4 PM thus changing the whole meaning of the word check in. At any rate with a little luck your room could be ready at noon or at least before 4 pm.

Most of the time we do the downtown Disney, go grocery shopping, if it is nice , the pool is fun. Other wise it is fun to play the Disney transport game... take a boat to MGM, bus to MK and then the Monorail to Epcot.....or....if you feel like it, go to Wilderness camp grounds and play on their beach...

I'm always starving. Plane food was never great, and it hasn't gotten any better (or any more substantial) in the past three years. So eating is high on my list. By the time you get your luggage checked in, head over to B&C (or into Epcot), get a table, eat a leisurely meal, you should be headed towards 2:00 or 3:00pm. We also like to familarize (or re-familarize) ourselves and our guests with the resort. It usually takes an hour to wander around and find all the stuff we want to find.

:earsboy: Epcot, world showcase, food, pool, SAB, throw a dart and you will hit something fun to do, IT's Disney !!!:)

If you can't find something to do for a few hours at Disney, what are you going to do for the rest of your stay.

Just Kidding
Have a great time

Take a quiet stroll along the canal walkway to MGM. (Your room will probably be ready before 4.)

Ah, I LOVE the way you think!!!

As one or two posters suggested, check in upon arrival, you never know, you may get lucky and your unit will be ready!!!

We always go to lunch and do our grocery shopping. This past trip we did both and the room still wasn't ready (not complaining) so we took a ride to Celebration.

Halle,
Could you tell me about Celebration? How do you get there and what is there to do there?

Do nothing, do everything:confused:

Lunch, then grocery shopping is on a full stomach and less costly:eek:

HampshireMickey, I see you will be at BCV the same week as we will. Hope you enjoy the F&WF and BCV.

Celebration is a Disney planned community, Main Street looks like a movie set out of the 50's. Excellent restaurants, we always go for lunch. We have been checking it out since it was first established and this year we actually got lost!!! Words really can't describe Celebration( some say it reminds you of Stepford Wives), if you have the time check it out I don't think you'll be disappointed. Directions, I'd ask at the front desk since there are so many new roads/construction every year. It's a 12-15 minute ride from the BW.

Question?? If my room is not ready and we go over to Epcot or MGM, where do I find telephones to make the call to see if my room is ready. I could use my cell, but I am sure there will be charges. What do you do?

There are phone booths all over the parks. Consult your park map.
