DH and I booked our trip today for Dec. 6-13 at POP, and I am slightly stoked,

however, his mother and I have our hearts set on POR, but it was booked (I'm guessing due to Pop Warner.) If you currently are booked there, for those dates (I know I'm reaching here) and need to end up changing resorts or dates, please please please PM me! Thank you so much!!

Did you ask about POFQ which is the Sister resort next door?
POFQ is the smaller and very quant out of the 2 resorts and it is easy to walk over to POR and tour, also eat at Boatwrights or the Rivermill.
POFQ also has the Boat Ride to DTD.
I love the hot tub better at POFQ. They also have Beignets!!!

When you get there I would suggest going to POR anyways and checking it out. We had our hearts set on CSR, but when we booked our vacation CSR was quotes as $100 more per night than the other Moderates. We ended up booking POR. After checking into POR, we went over the CSR for lunch and ended up at El Centro trying to switch our reservations. They told us it had been filled for months and there was no way, so we left disappointed. As we were walking out, the manager ran after us saying that one room had just opened. They gave us that room (upgraded with water view!) and matched our price at POR! So we saved $300+ and got the resort we wanted.
Moral of the story, if nothing else opens before you leave, try anyways when you get there. You never know Otherwise, POP was meant to be!

we tried to book CSR resort and told it was booked so we booked CBR and called back 2 days later and CSP had opened up
they gove peoa few days holds on rooms (I think it was a week) before they need to put a depoit so one could hae expired
so keep checking

Try going through AAA. Disney is telling me that POR, POFQ and CSR are all booked for our week, but AAA is showing availablity at all of the moderates.

When is this as of? We did book through AAA, they said POR is booked, and FQ (which would be our second choice) is available, but at Disney's rate, no AAA discount. This was at 11AM EST today. I will be checking everyday for availability, and asked AAA to call us if something opens up.

Thank you! We will definitely try that if nothing opens up by then. I'd like to check out the resort anyway. I don't even mind paying more for the mod, as long as it's one of the PO resorts. Thank you for your advice!

WOW, I cant believe POR is all booked for December already. How can this be? We are there for the 7-14. I only booked a couple weeks ago (had special 40% code), and now I am so glad I did. I just think if you keep trying something has to open up. Good Luck. (Maybe this is happening because you are meant to get a great discount code if you wait )
