If by chance I need a cheap hotel to stay at, where?

The problem with Grandma's house is that she's in Italy all this month, so I'm not going to be able to ask her until at least June 1st if we can stay there. But Dh is gonna have to ask for the days off way before that, and I want to buy tickets before then too.

So if by chance I need a motel to stay at around DL, where's a good one that's on the cheap side?

I dislike the word 'cheap',but extremely inexpensive ones are Park Vue Inn, or the Alpine Inn. The Park Vue Inn is right across the street, the Alpine Inn is on Katella, just south of the parking lot.It all depends on what you're looking for.:confused3

What do you mean by "cheap" it varies from person to person.....

Cheap probably was not the right word, that's probably more what I was thinking when looking at my budget for this trip compared to the rest I plan! LOL Inexpensive fits better!

"Cheap" probably meaning $80-$130 a night. I was looking at a few that was $75 a night but the reviews weren't so good. One was Anaheim Plaza?

Basically a nice clean room is all I'm really looking for. We will probably swim, but it doesn't have to be a big factor.

I like the Tropicana the best of the ones I have stayed at. It was great for us, about as close as you can get, extremely clean, great staff, updated rooms and a free breakfast. I can also recommend the Hojo and the Camelot. There are tons of motels close to Disneyland, those are the three I have stayed at and would recommend.

Thanks Amy! I'm off to check those out! A clean room that's close (and the free breakfast is a huge plus) is really what I'm looking for. I've had such bad luck when picking offsite motels I really want the advice of everyone here!

Yes we have stayed at Tropicana and Carousel Inn, both are very close and good budget accommodation, we preferred the CI of the two

I got the Hojo for $69 a night (park view). I used a friends Entertainment Book rate (you do need the card to get the rate). Very nice, clean, close to the park, and a nice pool. There is no breakfast though. The entertainment books are on sale (someone told me they got them off of their site for $9.99 b/c they are only good until October.) Have fun on your trips.:thumbsup2

I've seen you guys talking about this Entertainment book rate. I see on the website the book is $9.99. Assuming you have to get the Orange County book right?

Think I could still get that rate for June if I get the book?

I dont think you have to have the one from Orange county. The one I borrowed was from here. I would call and ask if you clould get the rate for the days you want to stay. Its worth a shot.

We just stayed at the Tropicana last week and it was clean and close but that was all it was. I would look into the BWPPI myself. If we stay off site again it will be there, HOJO or CI.

Looks like people are getting some 3* rooms for around $55 on Priceline. I use this site called www.biddingfortravel.com to figure out what to bid for on that site. It also depends on when you are going. I've used Priceline a number of times, and I haven't been disappointed.

Hello!
Does anyone know anything about Portofino Inn and Suites? I am very curious. Thank you

We just got home from 10 nights at the Desert Inn & Suites, and while it was nothing exciting, it was clean and quiet. I would stay there again, but we honestly didn't spend much time in our room at all.
We paid $139 a night for a family suite (sleeps 8), the rates are better the further out you book.
