If “The Breakfast Club” had a sequel with the kids of the original characters and some new ones, would you go see it?

Totally, would hope for a Grosse Pointe Blank reunion vibe maybe where they all end up hanging out at a hotel bar and catch up in the same way they connected in the original.

I loved the original. I remember watching it as a teenager when I was not allowed to see R rated movies. I have seen it again a few more times, and still enjoy it as an adult. While it didn't seem too "realistic" compared to my own high school experience, I could definitely see similarities between the characters and actual people. It seems like the characters were magnified representations of different types of kids in school.

I think it would be hard to "recapture that magic" unfortunately. That said, I definitely would watch the sequel.

I enjoyed the movie, it's definitely one of John Hughes' best.
That said, I don't think it needs a sequel.

Same with Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Decades from now, I'd be surprised to see Slow Times at Ridgemont Retirement and Assisted Living Center.

I'm sure the movie is still somewhat relatable today, but why not have a different movie of the same vein for the current generation? It doesn't have to be recycled, and they can touch on more contemporary topics, especially since school is much different today than it was for us in the 80's.

No - I’m not a big fan of the original :sad2:

Probably not. I wasn't even born when the original came out and think I've seen it once? It was fine. Not my favorite or anything to re-watch. I know it's a cult fave for many, though!

I was 1990 graduate. If you want to know what high school was like for me, watch Dazed and Confused. I knew every character in the movie including the 20something Bill hanging out with us high school kids... oops I mean Wooderson. Even though the movie was set in the 70's, this was high school in the late late 80's for me. I saw that movie 4 times in the theater as we kept expanding through our friends, "You have to see this movie..." and went back to see it again.
