Hi, guys!

I am coveting a DLP shareholder card and all the many benefits that it brings (gotta love the info on this forum!!). My eyes are red and sore from Googling but I'm still none the wiser about how to actually buy shares in a simple and straightforward way without having to appoint a fund manager and pay ongoing fees. Just wondering if anyone who has already bought DLP shares has or could produce an idiot's guide on how you went about it?

Thanks very much indeed.

I was also going cross-eyed trying to understand how to buy the shares and process the application form but it was actually surprisingly easy.

1) You will need to open a share-dealing account, I did mine with Halifax. If you already hold an account with Halifax you should be able buy the shares straight away, if not, you will need to wait for them to send you a password to activate your account (this took about 10 days).

2) You will need to credit your account with a minimum of £100 and then buy the EuroDisney SCA shares, in order not to pay any ongoing fees you will need to purchase at least 20 shares. Once you have bought them, you can then transfer the remainder of the £100 back into your account.

3) Once you have purchased your shares you will be able to print out your share certificate, this will then need to be sent to the Shareholder's club along with your registration form.

4) The form and your share certificate will then either need to be faxed or posted to the Shareholder's club (the details are on the form).

5) Sit back and wait for your confirmation email to come through! You should then have your card within a couple of months.

If your trip comes before your card has arrived, you can request a temporary letter to be emailed to you and this works in exactly the same way as the card, this is what we had to use on our trip and we didn't have any issues with it all.

I hope this helps, let me know if you need me to clarify anything! :goodvibes

Hiyah! That's very helpful indeed, thanks very much for taking the time to reply. I'm on a mission!

As an aside, I see that you're in Watford. I used to live there very many years ago. I bet it's changed loads since I was there (early 1990s). Cassiobury Park was a favourite place on a sunny day for a walk along the canal and a picnic.

You're welcome, I hope you get it sorted ok!

I live in Croxley Green so often walk along the canal to cassiobury park. Watford hasn't really changed that much at all, just a lot more flats and houses everywhere lol
