Idiot Drivers!

speaking as a wife of a truck driver....I think everyone should have to ride in a big truck before they get their license. I rode ONCE with my husband and swore never again. During the night he was cut off constantly. Children were screaming at him to blow his horn, people blaring their horn at him for driving too slow, and my favorite...a group of young girls lifting their shirts and mooning him.


I was so scared he was going to smash into someone all night that at one point I had to close my eyes. My biggest concern now is that someone will cut him off too close and instead of hitting the person he will swerve and crash and be hurt himself.


Now in no way am I saying all truckers are the best drivers, I've seen plenty of bad ones, but I'm a lot more courteous when it comes to the big rigs now.

Chicago526, it almost sounds like you must spend a good part of each day stuck in your car! You seem to have alot of frustration with driving and drivers and such!

You know, I have seen this happen all the time on the highways. People can be so stupid sometimes. They think they can cut a tanker off and it will stop on a dime.

Thank god no one was hurt or worse, killed.

No, actually, I don't spend THAT much time in my car! My daily commute is about an hour and 15 minutes round-trip every day. I started this thread based on a news report I read, after hearing on the radio that one of the expressways had been shut down. My "he tried to steal my parking spot" thread happened at the mall on the weekend!

I think I know how a lot of old threads are being resurrected now because I've accidently done it a time or two. You read similar thread titles at the bottom of the page and respond to them. A lot of times those threads are pretty old and you end up bringing it to page 1 again.
