Idiot...don't text during class!

I recently had someone send me some text messages. Obviously a teen, thought they were sending to friend. I didn't answer the first couple then she kept sending messages and I finally called her to let her know she had the wrong person since she wasn't getting the message when I sent her a text. She hung up on me and then sent a text asking "Was that your mom?" :confused:I said no that it was not my mom. I tried sending her another text to let her know that she had the wrong person and she still would not believe me. I called her again and it went to voicemail. She sent me a text and she was mad because I interrupted her playing a game. I finally called her one last time and told her that I was not whoever she thought she was calling and to stop texting me. If she didn't stop I would report her number to the phone company.

She finally stopped texting me. Some people you almost have to hit them over the head to get it to sink in. She actually thought I was her friend and pulling a joke on her since she had pulled one on her friend.

It depends on your job. For example, a firefighter is being paid to be AVAILABLE. He (or she) sits in the fire station, talking, playing cards, watching tv, or whatever else firefighters do while hanging out at the firestation.
On the other hand, people in other jobs have no business texting on the job. I went into the Hallmark store at the mall one day last week. Only one employee was visible -- a teenager, who was behind the register texting up a storm. She didn't look at me or speak to me. I could've shoplifted half the store, or I could've needed help with something. She couldn't have cared less.

What ever happened to passing good ole fashioned notes (on paper) in class?

I text in class a lot, and definitely between classes. I'm in college and it's the norm and very accepted here.

That is exactly the reason I no longer use a cashier at the grocery store, I go through self check out. The last few times I went in to the regular check out lane I had all different cashiers and 2 out of the 4 I went to were texting with one hand and ringing me up with the other---sorry but pay attention to the job you are being paid to do and stop texting!!! I would rather do it myself than stand there while they are texting friends!!!

I got a text at 2 am from some guy who thought I was his boyfriend, and got seriously ticked off that I asked who he was. He called me and when I answered he hung up, and then texted me this:

Ooo T, u in trouble, some woman answering ur phone! Maybe you should stop playin girls and be 4 real honey!!

I told him several times I was not T, he told me I was, I had a 22 month old son named T.J. and then he was going to text me what "T" texted him today. Then he assumed I was the woman who answered "T's" phone and asked me if he listened to country music, did he have a 22 month old son, and why was his number programmed in his phone for the past month?? ( he used the son alot )

Then he sent this:
My bad, my gurl was using my phone n her boyfriends number is 1 digit different than urs. Peace out!

I of course, was convinced this guy was going to come get me because his man was cheating on him with me.

I've also had random nekkid pic's sent to me by people I do not know....nor wish to know.

Texting is strictly forbidden where I work but one guy kept doing it anyway. And yes he got fired. What could be so important that you would risk your job?

at dd13's middle school they somehow block cell phones. as soon as you go through the entrance no cell phone has a signal.

i text ds15 all the time while he's in school.

my niece was so good at texting that while in school she could text without even taking her phone out of her pocket/purse.....
i didn't believe her until 1 day when she proved it to me by holding the phone behind her back and typing whatever i told her to without ever looking at the phone!!!
