Our school gives ID cards (2 per child) with each new school picture. We had the girls' laminated and put one either on them or in their backpack and DH and I carry the second. That way, if there were an emergency, we could show the authorities a current photo or the child could be identified quickly because of the card she has.

We leave on November 14th! Not to much longer! Can't wait, DS is enjoying looking at the pictures on the webboard.

My niece is autistic and she wears a medic alert bracelet. My sister is involved with an organization on Staten Island called GRACE. Periodically they provide medic alert bracelets for autistic children (free of charge). Here is a link to their website - http://www.graceofny.org/index.htm.

We got Mickey dog tags engraved at downtown disney for the boys. we had their first name and DH's cell number engraved on them . It worked to, DS10 got lost last year. I saw him but he didn't see me. We decided to see what he would do, he walked straight up to the first cast member he saw and said I lost my parents and this is my dad's cell number. About that time I walked up to him, I was so proud of him, he kept his wits and did everything we told him to. The reason we got them in the first place was because DS5 and 6 were 2 and 3 on our first trip and didn't talk, but they knew to show the tag.
