My 10 year old traded a pin with a CM at Epcot about Feb. 5th of this year. This pin is a square pin (Large) and is a flag from some country. The colors are (top to bottom) are..
Thick Stripes..
Red to a dark Orange color(top)
white(middle)
Black(bottom )

In the middle of the white stripe there is what resembles an Eagle

and on the bottom of the pin it has "2000 celebrate the future hand in hand
"Walt Disney World."

Even the pin traders at the pin station at Epcot couldn't tell us where it was from. They had great fun calling CM's over to the table to try to indentify it...Finally a managerCM told us he thought it was a special release for when they opened the Millanium Village in the year 2000.
Any help would be appreciated! My child wants to take his lanyard to school to talk about this pin.....Oh yeah, It does say Disney 2000 on the back and is heavy like some of the Disney pins..so I think it is authentic. The Cm's told us it was

I just did some searching ... I think the flag you are describing is the Egyptian flag. On pinpics it is pin #2024. I also searched Yahooligans (because this is for a 10 year old :) ) & found a picture of the flag you described. Your son might check a World Almanac at school for the section with pictures of country flags.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

You were right and I looked it up on PINPICS and it was the right one.Thank you!

Glad to hear it is the Egyptian pin your son has. I was delighted to help.
