My office has a $15 gift exchange and this is my first one. Any ideas for a unisex gift? Perhaps I will buy ornaments from TDS. :goodvibes
  • Mugs
  • Chocolates
  • Yankee candle
  • Gift card (which one?)

Grocery store gift card. Everyone has to eat.

Starbucks gift card.

And a note: to me (a female), Yankee candles aren't unisex.

You could get a nice mug and some gourmet hot chocolate.

Or, a $10 Blockbuster gift card and a box of microwave popcorn...

Barnes and Noble!!! If they dont read - they can buy a desk calendar or something

The idea made me wonder too - I don't know too many guys who enjoy the scent of a Yankee Candle.

I saw your post on WDW magic, and I must say the gift card is the best idea I have heard so far.

I agree with the blockbuster card and some popcorn. I also like doing a Border's giftcard. DH's favorite gift received from a work exchange was the Starbucks card, lol.

Gift cards get my vote. Grocery store, local restaurant, movies, Barnes & Noble are just a few ideas. Heck, even a gas card would be much appreciated these days.

Another thing that I think is unisex is a nice picture frame.

These always go over great... if you want you could get a starbucks mug to put it in.

I bought a snow broom for $15 with shipping from ebay for my network administrator. I have one and everyone is jealous when I pull it out to easily clean off my van when it snows. Here is a link to what it is, in case you're wondering... http://cozywinters.com/shop/sno-brum.html

The one I bought was orange and not the original sno brum brand, but heck, it'll work and he'll be the envy of the employee parking lot when it snows.

Last year, my office did one of those exchanges where you have a chance to "steal" from those that had opened the gift before you. The "hottest" item, 15 lottery tickets (the scratch off kind). The most "unpopular", a candle.

I was going to suggest lottery tickets, too. They are one size fits all.

I like the Barnes & Noble gift card idea!!! But I am a book hound!!!

In my office, a bottle of wine and a box of golf balls tend to be the most popular two gifts.

I have to second a Starbucks Gift card. Coffee is SOOOO expensive there that I don't go often. So to go there is a 'treat' for me.

Dunkin Donuts is always good too...but not "special" like a Starbucks card.

Most people have on Demand or tivo's now...not all, but most, so I've found that many don't use the Blockbuster gift cards as often anymore (my dad - movie king - just doesn't go there anymore since getting 'on demand')
