We will be in Vancouver in June.. Looking for suggestions on Food and Attractions. I know we want to see the Cap. Bridge and Grouse Mountain. Anything else we shouldn't miss?

Should we visit the vistior's center for discounts or book things online before we go? Also, food-- can anyone who has been to Vancouver suggest places to eat? We will be staying at the Pan Pacific for 3 nights prior to cruise. Thank you for any advise..

Rent a car and spend a day going up to whistler and taking in all the beautiful scenic points along the way.

Instead of capilano suspension bridge try Lynn Canyon suspension bridge , it's free too!

We enjoyed grouse mountain and did the zip lining there it was beyond awesome. I recommend securing your bus time in advance because spots fill up very quickly .

We enjoyed Cactus Club Cafe , next to Canada place. Beautiful location and views are wonderful.

There's a lot to do in Vancouver. I did one night pre and post in Vancouver for my DCL Alaskan Cruise three years ago and it wasn't enough time to do everything I wanted. I did the following:

Capilano Suspension Bridge--Free bus to bridge that sits near Convention Center. It leaves at certain times, so ask your concierge for the schedule. They also have a free bus to Grouse Mountain that leaves from the same spot, but I didn't have time to do that. I had planned to do the DCL debarkation tour to both of those places, but they cancelled it because not enough people signed up.

Stanley Park--I rented a bike the first day I got to Vancouver from a kiosk down by the pier to the left of the Farimont Pacific Rim hotel. You can also drive the loop in the park, but since I didn't rent a car I decided to bike it. It was fun and lots of other people were doing it. It's the equivalent of Central Park and they have numerous statues and other things to see. The scenery is beautiful!

Olympic Torch--right in front of the Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel on the pier.

Although I didn't do it, there is also a Hop-on Hop-off bus that stops by the Convention Center that will take you to the other major sites. I think there are two loops for the bus.

Unfortunately, I never made it to Chinatown Tea House and gardens, the aquarium, or the other places on my list.

As far as food goes, they have everything. All you have to do is go a couple of blocks to find what you want, be it fast food or fine dining. There's a mall, relatively speaking, in between the hotels near the convention center that has a McDonald's, Subway, and other quick eats. The building also has a small convenience store where you can get bottled water and other beverages.

Pleased to help, it can cost $$$$$$ so the best thing is to plan! plan! and plan more. It's a fantastic place to cruise, we had a brilliant time.

We did the Pan Pacific for 2 nights pre-cruise and really did not have anything planned.

The first day we walked to Stanley Park. There is a trolley that takes you around but we enjoyed walking. We did not know where we were but ended up at the Aquarium. It was nice.

We then walked back and ate at a White Spot (I think that was the name of it) Food was great.

We also were able to walk to the observation tower and do that. We walked to Rodman Street to see all the shops.

Loved Vancouver and the Pan Pacific. Enjoy your trip.

We also greatly enjoyed renting bikes and biking around Stanley Park. It was a great way to pass the time on the morning of embarkation. The trolley was also a great way to see the city and learn a little about it and pass a few hours' time.

When in June are you going? We are doing june 30th cruise to Alaska. We fly in on 29th and I am looking at Pan Pacific and Fairmont waterfront and can't justify the extra cost for Pan Pacific for one night. We will have the whole day to go around Vancouver so looking for a couple of ideas too.

We only had one full day there so we got Landsea Tours & Adventures to put together a one day tour for us starting in the city, then Stanley park, Callipino suspension bridge grouse mountain and our guide was a former cruise entertainments director from another cruise line, it was fantastic, lots squeezed in and as it was for four of us, the price wasn't far off four single tickets for a tour by tourist coach.

Thank you so much. I was just looking up the links you have posted too for things to do. We are also 4 ppl 2A2C so this suggestion might work well.:)

If you use them see if Cheryl is working for them and request her, she was great fun, knew a lot and would get our tickets in advance, ie whilst at Callipino she drove the Grouse got our tickets and drove back and picked us up after our walk around the suspension bridge. I found against their tourist coach trip we did more and for four the price was reasonable, I asked if I could stop here and there and she did it and took our family photos for us.

We did an Alaskan cruise last summer and spend a couple days in Vancouver pre-cruise. We stayed at the Sheraton, which was ideal for us, it didn't break the bank but was still a very nice property and nicely situated. Everything we needed was within walking distance. Two blocks in one direction and you were in Robson Square, the other direction, Granville street.

Capilano and Grouse have free shuttles. We easily hit both stops on the same day and enjoyed both. The last shuttle from Grouse was 5:30, I think. We didn't realize this and ended up just missing it and having to take the public transportation. The public transportation system in Vancouver is impressive, and for the most part was easy to navigate. Download the app on your phone if you'll be using it - it definitely helped!

We also went to Stanley Park and visited the Aquarium. The Aquarium was nice, but it was small and crowded and I did not find value in the experience. We have nice Aquariums at home and have been to Sea World several times though. In hindsight, I wish I had spent the money on more experiences at Grouse Mountain instead.

Hope you have a great time! Our cruise ship got stuck in Ketchikan for several days and we are actually having a do-over this summer for our missed Alaskan adventure. We'll be sailing out of Seattle this time, though I would have loved to have visited Vancouver again.
