Hey guys,

What did you use for your table names? I know that we could do Disney movies or rides... but I'm wondering if anyone had any other ideas? I've read some cute non-Disney table names, but I am thinking I want to stay with a fairy tale/Disney type theme... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

Depending on the number of tables you need...

Disney Themed:
Movies
Rides
Jungle Cruise Boat Names
Lands from Disney Parks
Character Names

Other:
Countries
Streets in your town
Towns in your state
Colors
Holidays

My personal fave is the Jungle Cruise Boats, but my fiancee wouldn't go for it, so we're doing movies and theming each table for a separate movie (i.e. shells and seaweed at a little mermaid table, or a single rose at the beauty and the beast table coming out of a teapot)

If you have a favorite movie you could name the tables after the characters in the movie. An example would be Alice in Wonderland...there are lots of character names to choose from.

If you named them after rides at Disney World/Land, you could have "fast passes" as the escort cards.

You could pick disney fairy tale characters, (especially ones from one of the princess movies). Some examples:
Snow White
Cinderella
Prince Charming
Snow Queen
Little Match Girl
Little Mermaid
Beauty ( Belle ) from Beauty and the Beast
Sleeping Beauty
Rapunzel
Tom Thumb
Thumbelina
Little Red Riding Hood
The Frog Prince
Hansel and Gretel
The Pied Piper
Puss in Boots
Aladdin
Chicken Little
Dumbo
Mary Poppins
Peter Pan
Tinkerbell
Captian Hook
Robin Hood
Jiminy Cricket
Mowgli
The Nightingale
The Frog King
Rumpelstiltskin
Mickey Mouse
Minnie Mouse
Donald Duck
Pluto
Goofy
Winnie the Pooh
Tigger
Alice in Wonderland
The Mad Hatter
The Cheshire Cat
Queen of Hearts
Tweedle Dee
Tweedle Dum
Baloo
Shere Khan
Bambi
Thumper

They are not all Disney, but you could pick fairytales as I'm sure you are going to have a "fairy tale wedding". If you wanted unique centerpeices and didn't mind the extra expense, you could include the actual children's book in the centerpeice:

Aladdin
Beauty and the Beast
Cap O' Rushes
Catskin
Cinderella
The Frog Prince
The Gingerbread Man
The Golden Goose
Goldilocks and the Three Bears
Hansel and Gretel
Jack and the Beanstalk
Katie Crackernuts
The Little Mermaid
Little Red Riding Hood
Peter and the Wolf
Peter Pan
The Pied Piper of Hamelin
The Adventures of Pinocchio
The Princess and the Pea
Puss in Boots
The Rose-Tree
Rumpelstiltskin
Sleeping Beauty
Snow White
The Stonecutter
Three Billy Goats Gruff
Three Little Pigs
Tom Thumb
Thumbelina
The Tinderbox
The Ugly Duckling
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

We used cruise ship names....they're still kind of "fairy tale"-ish, but since we're going on a cruise for our honeymoon we thought it was kind of nice. Plus, there's only so much Disney you can cram into a wedding.

These are our names that my DF made, I think they're all Carnival ships. We only had 4 tables so it wasn't so bad.

I just remembered...I used images of disney "couples" instead of table numbers for a DISBride. Some examples are Mickey and Minnie, Tarzan and Jane, Donald and Daisy, Goofy and Clarabelle, etc. I made table markers with 27 different couples. Her colors where tiffany blue and red and I recolored parts of the disney couples outfits to match her colors. Here is a link:

I also made matching escort cards so that they would know which "disney couple" to look for.

Hi Dolly

I wanted to ask if I could use your designs for the other DISboarder you posted. I need about 5 tables and was already thinking of doing "Disney Couples" and I love how you added the names/dates!

Thanks

Sending you a pm.

Both DH and I are really big sports fans, so our table numbers were the numbers of our favorite athletes. We then made a little game out of it, we had "game cards" that our guests could fill out. Every guest who correctly guessed who each player was got a little gift card in their thank you note.

These are what the signs looked like.

And you can kind of see here what the game cards looked like...

(since our son (he is furry and has 4 legs) couldn't come to the wedding we had him welcome the guests in :lmao: )

As some others have also mentioned, we are using Disney couples with pictures and their names printed above them. We don't have that many tables, but we are using:

Cinderella and Prince Charming
Aladdin and Jasmine
Prince Philip and Sleeping Beauty
Prince Eric and Ariel
Beauty and the Beast
Prince Naveen and Tiana
Snow White and Prince Charming

You could always add other Disney couples like Minnie & Mickey, Donald & Daisy, etc. There are tons!

For my wedding (not on Disney property, but fairy tale themed) I am also doing a separate movie/story for each table! And I was thinking along the same exact lines as you... with a rose for Beauty and the Beast and seashells for the little mermaid. I'm hoping to find an inexpensive glass slipper for Cinderella. And I've also found some really inexpensive copies of children's books so I'm making a little stack for the centerpieces and putting these items on top. If you want to brainstorm tables/ center piece ideas, let me know! I have a few ideas but I'm looking for more inspiration too :)

I sent you a PM! We're also doing a Disney at home wedding!

Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm just wondering whether I should stick with the Disney theme or if I should go with a more travel/city theme... with the table names being our hometowns, cities in which we were born, cities in which we have traveled together... I think my fiance is Disney-ed out with our wedding! LOL.

I am loving all the ideas! They are really helping me! You guys are the best!

What about important objects in Disney movies?

Like:

Enchanted Rose
Magic Lamp
Dinglehopper :rotfl:
Poison Apple
Glass Slipper
Spinning Wheel
etc.

Or Sherman Brothers song titles

Jolly Holiday
Let's Get Together
Ugly Bug Ball
Tall Paul
Makin' Memories
Monkey's Uncle
That Darn Cat
and so on

Just some different ideas
